UPSC CMS syllabus 2022 was notified in the official notification. The syllabus is released in the form of topic names only. The candidates are suggested to prepare all the topics in their entirety. UPSC can ask about any aspect of the topic in the exam. No weightage is assigned to any topics in the official syllabus. The candidates must take help of the CMS question papers of previous years so that they can anticipate the important topics. There is no defined syllabus for the UPSC CMS personality test. Being a doctor, it is expected that the interview board can ask any random question related to emergency procedures.

The UPSC CMS exam is a two-stage exam and the candidates need to clear every stage. The first stage is the written exam and the marks got in the written exam will be counted for the final merit list. The second stage is the UPSC CMS interview. The final UPSC CMS result is prepared by adding up the marks secured in each stage.

UPSC CMS 2022 Syllabus

The one advantage of the UPSC CMS syllabus is that it does not include any General Knowledge or General Studies topics. It means that the UPSC CMS exam is a full specialist exam. Since there are no current affairs topics, most of the syllabus is static and the number of topics is time-independent. The only part which can be said as the dynamic part of the UPSC CMS syllabus is the research and techniques. The ongoing research and the latest techniques can be asked in the exam as well.

The UPSC CMS written exam is a computer-based exam conducted online. The written exam comprised of two question papers of 250 marks each. Both the papers have a separate syllabus and the topics are entirely different. The time assigned for each paper is two hours.

(iv) Accidents and poisonings in children,

(v) Birth defects and counselling including autism,

(vi) Immunization in children,

(vii) Recognizing children with special needs and management, and

(viii) National programmes related to child health.
