UPSC CMS cutoff 2022 was released after the completion of the exam process. UPSC CMS cutoff is the marks of the last selected candidates in a particular category. UPSC releases the category-wise cutoff separately after the completion of the exam process. The candidates can check the cutoff of previous years and collate them with the question papers. UPSC CMS Cut off Explained
The cut-off of any exam is dependant in three factors related to the exam. These factors are
• Number of Vacancies
• Difficulty Level of the exam
• Number of candidates who appeared in the exam
The number of vacancies has a positive impact on the exam cut-off. It is inversely proportional to the cut-off of the exam it means higher the number of vacancies, lower the cut-off for the exam.
The difficulty level is another factor that has a crucial impact on the exam cut-off. The difficulty level of the paper is high, the cut-off will be lower. If the exam is easy, the cut-off increases.
The Number of candidates has very little impact on the exam cut-off. The relation is directly proportional to each other i.e higher the number of candidates, the higher the competition and hence the higher cut-off.
Out of the total vacancies of 919, 798 candidates were recommended in the different categories. Besides, UPSC has also released a reserve list of 194 candidates. The details about the reserve list are not known. The number of candidates recommended for each category is given below.
