The Union Public Service Commission released the UPSC result 2024 on its official website - upsc.gov.in. The Commission released the roll numbers of the qualified candidates. The candidates are required to check their roll numbers in the official result pdf. The UPSC prelims exam 2024 was conducted on June 16, 2024. The Commission will not release the UPSC cutoff 2024 with the result. It will be released online after the final result. 

The Commission releases the CSE result pdf within a fortnight of the exam. The candidates will be required to check their results online and download the UPSC CSE 2024 result pdf for future reference.

Q:   What are the minimum marks required to become an IAS?

A:

The candidates should note that there is no minimum marks that can be ascretained for the IAS. The final UPSC merit list is based on the marks secured in the main (written) and personlaity test condcuted at Dholpur House, UPSC. The Commission arrange the candidates in the order of their merit and select top candidates for the Indian Administrative Service if they have opted for it as their first choice. 

The minimum marks for IAS cannot be asertained as the cutoff for each year differs from year to year.

UPSC 2024 Result Dates

The Union Public Service Commission conduct the IES prelims exam in offline mode. The Commission prepares the IES answer key and compare the answers of the candidates with it. With comparing, the Commission calculate the marks of the candidates by awarding 2 marks for each correct question and deducting 0.6 marks for each incorrect answer.

The Commission arrange the candidates in order of their merit in their category. Q:   How many candidates are selected for IPS every year in the UPSC result?

A:
The Government of India has increased the number of vacancies for the IPS in the UPSC exam. The total number of candidates selected for the IPS is 200 now. Earlier this number was 150 only but the Government increased it in the year 2021. Apart from IAS and IPS, the number of vacancies are not fixed for any service.
