UPTET Cut-Off 2024 will be announced by the Exam Regulatory Authority, Uttar Pradesh, on the official website. Generally, the UPTET Cutoff will be released along with UPTET Result 2024. UPTET cut-off 2024 is the minimum qualifying mark that candidates need to obtain to clear the exam. Candidates who qualify for the UPTET exam by fetching the qualifying or cutoff marks are awarded the UPTET eligibility certificate. The UPTET Qualifying Marks differ for OBC, SC, ST, PwD and General category candidates. Candidates belonging to the General category need to secure at least 90 marks (60 per cent) in order to qualify for the UPTET passing marks. The UPTET certificate is now valid forever. Ramesh Pokhariyal, Indian Education Minister has announced that the validity of the TET certificate is extended for a lifetime. Earlier the validity of the certificates was 5 years. Candidates qualifying for the UPTET 2024 exam will be the first batch of candidates with a lifetime UPTET certificate. They can apply for teacher recruitment in Uttar Pradesh schools at any point in time till they fulfil the eligibility criteria fixed by the respective recruiting agency.

Q:   Is there any negative marking in UPTET?

A:
No, there is no negative marking in the UPTET exam. In the UPTET exam, candidates are given four choices for every question. Candidates need to select the one correct answer out of the four given options. One mark is allotted for every correct answer. There is no negative marking in the exam. The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) has not mentioned any negative marking scheme in the UPTET exam. This means that candidates are not penalized for incorrect answers in the UPTET exam. Candidates are advised to attempt all the questions in the UPTET exam to maximize their chances of scoring well.
