WB SET exam centres 2024 list has been released by the West Bengal College Service Commission (WBCSC). Candidates need to select any two districts of their choice as the WB SET exam centres 2024 while filling out the application form. The WBCSC makes efforts to allot the exam centre to the candidates according to the choice opted by them in their WB SET application form 2024. However, in some exceptional circumstances, a different WB SET exam centre in a nearby area may be allotted.

The WB SET 2024 exam will be held in a total of 33 districts across West Bengal. The full list of WB SET exam centre districts has been shared below. Candidates can choose any two WB SET test centres of their choice as per their convenience while submitting the WB SET applications 2024.

 Candidates appearing for the West Bengal State Eligibility Test (WBSET) 2024 are required to carry the following documents to the examination centre:

  • WB SET Admit Card: The admit card is a mandatory document that candidates must carry to the examination centre. It contains important information about the candidate and serves as proof of their candidature.

Q:   What if I reach the WB SET exam centre after the exam begins?

If you reach the WBSET exam center after the exam begins, you will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. The reporting time and GATE closing time are mentioned on the WB SET admit card. Candidates are advised to reach the exam center well before the reporting time to avoid any last-minute hassles. It is important to note that no candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall after the GATE closing time under any circumstances. Therefore, candidates should plan their travel accordingly and factor in any possible delays such as traffic, etc. To avoid reaching late. If a candidate misses the WB SET exam due to any reason, they will not be allowed to appear for the exam on a later date. They will have to wait for the next exam cycle to apply and appear for the exam.

The WB SET (West Bengal State Eligibility Test) exam pattern is prescribed by the West Bengal College Service Commission (WBCSC). The candidatesappearing for the WB SET exam must know the exam pattern. The WB SET exam pattern has been given below:

  • Paper 1 consists of 50 questions, all are compulsory
  • Total marks for Paper 1 are 100
  • The duration of the Paper 1 is of one hour
  • Paper 2 consists of 100 objective type questions, all are compulsory, each carrying 2 marks
  • Total marks for Paper 2 is 200
  • Duration of the Paper 2 is 2 hours

Important Guidelines related to WB SET Exam Centre 2024

  • Candidates cannot change their choice of the WB SET exam centre after the final submission of the application form.
  • Efforts will be made to allot the WB SET exam centre of examination to the candidates in order of the choice opted by them in their application form.
  • However, in some exceptional scenarios, the Commission reserves the right to change the exam centre.

Q:   For how many subjects the WB SET exam is conducted?

The West Bengal College Service Commission (WBCSC) conducts the WB SET (West Bengal State Eligibility Test) for two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. The paper 1 is generic in nature and is same for all the candidates who are appearing for the exam. However, the paper 2 is subject specific. A total of 33 subject's xam is take under Paper 2. To prepare for this exam make sure the basics of your subjects are strong, you have clarity of concepts. Make notes of the topics according to the syllabus issued. If you need guidance for your preparation You can avail yourself of facilities like sessions on paper 1 and paper 2, mock tests, previous year papers discussion, direct interaction with teachers etc. Divide your syllabus into small sections and set a weekly and monthly target for it. No, you can apply and appear for the WB SET exam for any number of times till you attain the desired scores. The WB SET Certificate is valid for a lifetime according to the norms of NCTE. Though, the candidates can take the WB SET exam to upgrade their marks. The guidelines have been given below for the candidates to take the WB SET exam:

  • The candidates must fulfill the educational qualification criteria to take the exam The age of the candidates cannot be less than 18 years There is no upper age limit to take the WB SET exam
