The closing cutoff for BSc (Hons) in Physics stood at 99.66% and for BSc (Hons) in Maths, it stood at 99% in 2021. However, starting 2022, the university and its affiliated colleges, such as Hindu stopped releasing the cutoff scores based on Class 12 scores obtained by the students. Admissions now are subject the scores obtained by the students in the CUET UG exam. Those who qualify the exam as per the scores required for DU admission (and to its affiliated colleges) are required to register on the DU CSAS portal for final seat allotment.

The applications for Hindu College that run simultaneously with DU registrations for UG courses via CUET 2023 (for UG programmes) began on Feb 10, 2023, and were open till Mar 30. Admission to all the courses is entrance-based. While Hindu College accepts CUET UG exam for admission to its undergraduate courses, such as BA, BSc and BCom, admission to all the PG programmes will be subject to the CUET- PG exam starting admission 2023. Hindu College invites students from diverse cultures and traditions. The college accepts students from diverse states and regions. Hence, there is no particular dress code fixed for the students. The entrance exam for admission to the BCom Hons course of Hindu College is CUET. The CUET exam syllabus is divided into three sections. These section are: Language, Domain Subject and General Test. CUET language section assesses candidate through reading comprehension (factual, literary, and narrative), literary aptitude and vocabulary. The second section assesses the candidate's in depth knowledge on the subject he/she has opted for. For BCom (Hons) entrance test, the domain subjects are Mathematics/Accountancy, and any two subjects, out of which at least one should be from list B. The third section includes questions on general knowledge, current affairs, general mental ability, quantitative reasoning and logical and analytical reasoning.
