AILET Exam Pattern 2025 - Last year, the National Law University Delhi changed the AILET exam pattern. According to the new exam pattern for AILET 2025, the duration of the exam was 120 minutes. The AILET 2025 question paper included three sections: English, Current Affairs & General Knowledge, and Logical Reasoning. A total of 150 questions were asked in this three section. The AILET LLM question paper no longer included the descriptive sections.

Note: Candidates must note that CLAT 2025 Exam Pattern in terms of the duration of the exam is the same as AILET. CLAT, AILET 2025 both will be conducted for 120 minutes.

Q:   Is there negative marking in AILET 2025 Exam?

A:

Candidates must note that the AILET Exam 2025 has negative marking too. The criteria for negative marking will be based on the formula 0.25*4=1 that means per wrong answer 0.25 Marks will be deducted. Therefore, four wrong answers will lead to deduction of 1 Mark. Candidates must be very careful while attempting the questions paper of AILET 2025. Candidates are advised to solve mock tests and previous years' question papers to get hand on things. No, National Law University, Delhi accepts admission in undergraduate and postgraduate law degree courses only through the All India Law Entrance Test examination. However, Except for NLU, Delhi, and National Law University, Tripura all other 23 National Law Universities accept the Common Law Admission Test scores for admission to its colleges. Yes, the difficulty level of AILET is usually higher than CLAT as the competition is five times more for the limited seats of B.A. LL.B. And LL. M. courses available at NLU Delhi. Moreover, the exam pattern of AILET is also different than CLAT exam pattern. The cutoff marks are also higher for AILET conducted by NLU Delhi. CLAT cutoff marks vary every year but are moderate as there are 23 participating National Law Universities. Therefore, candidates can assume that AILET is tougher than CLAT exam.
