MAT IBT Admit Card Download Process

MAT admit card 2022 will be issued in online mode only. Candidates will have to produce their admit card for remote proctored identification before the commencement of MAT IBT. Given below is the process to download.

Q:   Is admit card issued for MAT IBT?

A:
Yes, for every MAT IBT session the admit card is issued to candidates. Candidates have to download the MAT IBT admit card for their session from the AIMA MAT admit card. The process to download the MAT IBT admit card is the same as CBT or PBT. One needs to login with their application number and password and download the MAT IBT admit card from the AIMA MAT website. The MAT IBT admit card will be checked before the exam session is started in remote proctored mode. Candidates will have to present their admit cards for verification online to the AI and human proctor who will be invigilating the exam session. Once the admit card and photo ID have been validated, candidates will get the approval of taking the exam. If they do not present their admit card, they won't be allowed to appear in the exam.

Q:   Can I use one admit card for multiple MAT sessions?

A:
No. For every MAT session a specific admit card is issued, which has the mention of date, time and slot of the exam. Candidate cannot us the same MAT admit card for multiple sessions that they have registered for. The session specific MAT admit card is released as per the schedule and candidates can download the admit card of each session by using their application number, email ID and password. The registration process of every MAT session is also separate. If a candidate wishes to appear for more than one session, then they will have to register for all the sessions that they wish to appear in. For example, if a candidate who has appeared for MAT in February and wishes to re-appear in May again, then they need to register for a May exam session again. They cannot use the MAT February admit card to appear in MAT May exam.

Q:   Is the MAT admit card released session wise?

A:
Yes, the MAT admit card is released for each session. The dates for admit card download for each session Computer Based Test (CBT), Paper Based Test (PBT) and Internet Based Test (IBT) is different. However, the process is same. Candidates have to download the admit card for the session they have registered for. If a candidate has registered for more than one session, then they will have to download the admit cards for each session that they have registered for. The MAT admit card is exclusive for every session and cannot be used for different session. It has exam date, time, mode and slot mentioned on it, and is not valid for only that session. Thus candidate must be very careful in using the specific MAT admit card for a particular session. They must ensure that they are carrying the correct admit card for a given MAT session.

Q:   Can I change my MAT test centre after the admit card has been released?

A:
It is not possible to change the MAT test centre after the admit card has been released. They will have to appear at the test centre mentioned in their respective admit card. Entry will not be allowed to a candidate at any test centre other than the one mentioned in their admit card. In fact it is not possible to change the exam test city option in MAT after the application form has been submitted unlike in other MBA entrance exams where candidates get a change to choose the test cities again during form correction process. The only time when a test centre is changed, when the exam authorities cancel the session at a centre due to inadequate number of candidates or any other unforeseen reason. Thus, candidates must select test cities in the MAT application form very carefully. They must also download the admit card as soon as it is released and check the test centre location for distance and traveling options before the exam day.

Q:   Is digital copy of MAT admit card accepted at the exam centre?

A:
No. The digital copy will not be accepted under any circumstances. Only the original print out of MAT admit card in A4 size sheet is accepted as valid proof at the exam centre. It is so because the MAT admit card is to be signed by the candidate and invigilator and stamped by the authorities as a proof of candidate's appearance in the exam on the given date and session. One of the signed copy of the MAT admit card is also to be submitted at the test centre. It is not possible to sign and stamp a digital copy of the admit card thus it is not accepted at the MAT exam centre. The candidate must carry two copies of the original print out of the MAT admit card. Both copies must be in color. Candidates should also carry their recent passport size photo for MAT CBT and PBT both. The photo should preferably be same as uploaded in the MAT application form.

Q:   Can I change my MAT IBT exam slot after the admit card is released?

A:
No, there is no provision of changing the MAT IBT exam slot after the admit card has been released. Each session of the MAT IBT exam is conducted in two slots: 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM and 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Candidates get the option to select the MAT IBT session at the time of filling the application form. They can select their preference in the application form as per their convenience. Later on there will be no way to change the preference. Once the MAT admit card is released, candidates must check their slot and make preparation for taking the exam in remote proctored mode accordingly. They should arrange for high-speed internet connectivity, a laptop/desktop with functional webcam and download the tools/specifications as prescribed by the AIMA for MAT IBT. Candidates should also arrange for a room which is well lit and disturbance free for taking the MAT IBT exam.

Q:   What are the details mentioned in MAT admit card?

A:
MAT admit card is the main document for identification of the candidate for admission into the examination centre. The information mentioned on it should be correct and valid. The MAT admit card is prepared on the basis of information furnished by the candidate in the MAT application form, thus it is imperative for test takers to cross check the information on the MAT admit card once it is released. Erroneous admit card will not be accepted as valid ID proof for entry into the examination centre which may lead to candidates inability to appear for the MAT exam session. Thus candidates must check their MAT admit card thoroughly for the following information. 1. Name of the candidate 2. Date of birth 3. Registration number 4. Roll number 5. Category 6. Gender 7. Photograph 8. Contact details 9. Exam date and time 10. Reporting time 11. Test centre address with location Apart from these information, guidelines related to candidates conduct, etc. Will also be mentioned on the MAT admit card which candidates should read before the exam day.
