SRCC GBO 2024 Analysis: Detailed

The SRCC GBO question paper was at par with the previous years in terms of the difficulty. The arithmetic part in the Quantitative Aptitude section was tough and lengthy, hence, was time-consuming. The sectional time limit was reduced to 30 minutes and the student could not have switched between the sections. The overall cutoff for the exam is expected to be lower than the previous years. This year, the Quant section was the most difficult section and took the students by surprise. An attempt of 10-12 questions would be considered a very good attempt this time. The questions were based on Quadratic Equations, Algorithms, Algebra Matrices, Functions, etc. The Data Interpretation section was easier than the previous year. There were lengthy caselets that required a good amount of calculations, especially in the questions based on caselets. The Logical Reasoning section was also easy for many students. The section had questions based on Sets, Seating Arrangements, Blood Relations, Inferences, etc. An attempt of 20-25 questions in this section would push up the scores of the students. The English Comprehension and Language Ability section was moderate. An attempt of 28-30 questions can be considered a good attempt.

The overall difficulty level was difficult. The SRCC GBO cutoff is expected to dip this year. In the English section, this year there was only one Reading Comprehension passage. There were 2 RCs last year. Most of the sets in the Data Interpretation section were calculation intensive, so it was about picking the right sets. But because of the strict sectional timings, the question paper difficulty level increased and it is expected that there will be a 5-10% drop in the SRCC GBO cutoff. Last year the cutoff in the General category was 209, but this year it is expected to dip to somewhere between 195-200. A student who would have attempted more than 70 questions with 85% accuracy can expect a good score in SRCC GBO.

Q:   For how long will the SRCC GBO result be valid?

A:

SRCC GBO score is valid for admission for the same academic year in which the candidate has taken the exam. For example, SRCC GBO 2024 score will be valid for admission for 2024-2026 MBA batch only. If a candidate wishes to drop a year after taking the SRCC GBO exam, then they will have to appear for the exam once again next year. They should however check the eligibility or selection criteria to have a clarity of SRCC GBO score of which session/phase is valid for admission in which academic year. Candidates taking the SRCC GBO exam, must not try to use their score for admission more than one year after appearing for it. They should appear for it again and use the latest score for admission.

Q:   How can I calculate SRCC GBO scores?

A:

SRCC GBO score is determined on the basis of correct answers marked by aspirants in the SRCC GBO exam. For each correct answer, candidates are awarded four marks. For an incorrect answer, one mark is deducted from the candidates' total score. This means that for four incorrect answers, four marks will be deducted from the total score. The raw score of candidates is scaled with reference to the total number of candidates appearing in the exam. The SRCC GBO percentile is the percentage of candidates among those who have appeared for the exam and scored below the candidate in that category. That is, if a candidate has scored 60 per cent, this means that 60 per cent of candidates who have appeared in SRCC GBO exam scored below him/her. Based on the percentile score of candidates they will be offered admission to SRCC GBO compared to others who have appeared in the test.
