Delhi NEET counselling 2024 process for the next academic year 2024-25 is being conducted by MCC. The authorities released the official dates of Delhi NEET counselling 2024 it was started on August 14, 2024. Students were able to register for the counselling till August 20, 2024.
The choice filling and locking of DU NEET counselling could be done between August 16 to 20, 2024. The round 1 seat allotment was released on August 23, 2024. Applicants whose names will be in the list will have to report to the institute between August 24 to 29, 2024.
The Delhi NEET counselling process is usually carried forward according to the quota of seats. Delhi has 15 per cent reserved seats for candidates belonging to other states and is known as the All India Quota (AIQ). Rest 85 per cent of the total seats will be reserved for the candidates having Delhi domicile.

Salient Features of the Delhi NEET Counselling
After the result announcement and the release of the cut-off list, Medical and Dental colleges across Delhi will start their Delhi NEET counselling process. The Delhi NEET counselling 2024 will be conducted in various rounds such as Round 1, Round 2 and Round 3 or the mop-up round (if seats are left vacant). After the completion of round-wise Delhi NEET counselling, various institutes also conduct their counselling at the college level in order to fill the remaining vacant seats (if any).
To participate in the State NEET counselling candidates have to register themselves first. Registration for Delhi NEET counselling has been done online and the forms were available on the official website of Delhi MCC. The Delhi NEET counselling applications will only be considered and accepted after the payment of the registration fee. After the successful submission of the NEET counselling registration form, the conducting body will release the list of the registered candidates whose applications will be accepted.
The candidates whose names are on the list then have to report to the document verification centres if needed otherwise the document verification will be done online. After the document verification process, the candidates have to fill their choice of colleges priority-wise. A provisional merit list of shortlisted candidates will be then released for the first round of seat allotment.
After this, the subsequent counselling rounds will take place depending upon the cut-off and availability of seats.
Q: Do we need to register again for Stray Vacancy round of NEET counselling?
Till 2022, there was no registration option for the Stray Vacancy round and only those who had registered and participated in the first three rounds were considered for seat allotment in the Stray Vacancy round. But from 2023 onwards, MCC changed the process, wherein candidates are now allowed to register afresh for the Stray Vacancy round of NEET. Hence, those who have not been allotted seats in the first three rounds, or have not joined the allotted institutes, will be able to register and participate in the Stray Vacancy round of NEET counselling.
Q: Do I have to register separately for Delhi NEET counselling and MCC counselling?
Yes, candidates who wish to participate in Delhi NEET counselling 2024 will have to register on the website of fmsc.ac.in. Those who wish to participate in the AIQ NEET counselling will have to register on the official website of MCC. Online information provided by candidates in the application form for Delhi NEET counselling 2024 will be treated as correct and requests for any change will not be entertained by MCC.
Q: What is the eligibility criteria to participate in the Delhi NEET counselling?
To participate in Delhi NEET, a candidate must have qualified NEET 2024, the candidate must be a citizen of India. PIO/OCI candidates can also apply for DU MBBS 2024 counselling, and the candidate must have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board/institute. Also, the core subjects in the qualifying examination should be Biology, Chemistry, English and Physics.

Regarding the Stray Vacancy round of NEET UG counselling 2023, MCC has stated, “If a candidate is allotted a seat in Stray round, he has to join the allotted seat/college. If the candidate does not join the allotted seat, he/she shall be debarred from the NEET examination for 01 Year along with forfeiture of fees."
