Q:   What type of questions are asked in JEE Main?

A:

The JEE Main question paper will have questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as per the prescribed syllabus. Each Subject will have two sections. Section A will be of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) and Section B will contain Questions whose answers are to be filled in as a numerical value. In Section B, candidates have to attempt any 05 (five) questions out of 10. There will be negative marking for both Section A and Section B. For each question in Section B.A. Candidate has to enter the correct integer value of the answer using the mouse and the on-screen virtual numeric keypad in the place designated to enter the answer. For Section B, the answer should be rounded off to the nearest integer.

Q:   What are the main subjects of JEE Main?

A:

JEE Main exam has three subjects- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Question paper of JEE Main is prepared with questions from all the three subjects with equal weightage of 33%. A total of 90 questions are asked in the exam, 30 each from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The syllabus of JEE Mains for all three subjects is as per the CBSE/NCERT textbook of class 11 and 12. Candidates can check the syllabus from the official website of JEE Main or from the Shiksha page.

Q:   Can I change the language of the question paper during the exam?

A:
Question paper during the exam will be visible in English Hindi Urdu and the language selected by the candidate while filling the JEE Main application form. Candidates can switch the language of question paper between the default languages which is English Hindi Urdu and selected language in the application. In total, JEE Main is conducted in 13 languages and candidates have the option to select any language out of the available options. Candidates cannot switch the language of question paper between all 13 languages during the exam.

The National Testing Agency will soon release the answer key JEE Mains 2024 session 2 on the official website. The answer key JEE Mains 2024 session 2 will be released in the form of responses sheet. NTA will also allow the candidates to raise objections in the JEE Main answer key session 2 2024 till specified. Candidates need to pay INR 200 to raise responses in each question. The papers can be downloaded as PDF and can be practiced to prepare for the exam. JEE Main previosu year question paper also helps in understanding the difficulty level of the exam and chapter-wise weightage of questions. Q:   What is the sequence of sections in the JEE Mains question paper?

A:

As per the sequence of subject/section in JEE Main, Mathematics is the first section followed by Physics and Chemistry. However, students have the option of appearing questions from any section based on their preference. During the actual exam, students are provided the instructions on the computer screen to navigate between one section to other. Students also have the option to skip the next question without appearing the current as well as moving back to the previous question. To better understand the qustion paper, students can check the official JEE Main exam pattern mentioned in the NTA portal.

Q:   What is the language of JEE Main exam question paper?

A:

JEE Main exam is conducted in a total of 13 languages - English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. Candidates can select their preferred language in which they wish to appear in the exam at the time of filling the application form. During the exam, the question paper will be available in two language, English and the language selected at the time of filling the form. Candidates can switch between the two langauge during the exam from their computer screen. The language of question paper can not be changed after filling the application form. 

JEE Main Result 2024 

NTA will soon release the JEE 2024 session 2 result date on the official website. Applicants appearing in the exam will be able to check JEE session 2 result through application number and password/date of birth. JEE Mains 2024 result session 2 will be released in the form of normalized score. JEE Main session 2 result will be released on the basis of final answer key. Applicants must note that NTA will not entertain any request for re-checking/re-evaluation. Note that the JEE Main 2024 AIR of the candidates will be based on the best performance of the candidates out of both sessions. 

JEE Main Cutoff 2024 

The exam authority will release the JEE Main cutoff 2024 along with the declaration of the result. JEE Main 2024 cutoff is the minimum mark required to qualify for the exam. The exam authority will release the JEE Main cutoff 2024 separately for all the categories. The cutoff marks vary category-wise. Top 2,50,000 candidates in JEE Main 2024, will be able to appear for JEE Advanced.
