CMC Vellore BPT 2024 is a state-level entrance test that facilitates admissions to the undergraduate-level programme in Physiotherapy. The conducting body Christian Medical College (CMC) offers 10 seats for the UG-level programme. Out of the 10 seats, two seats are for the open category and eight are reserved for the Minority Network category & CMC Vellore Staff Quota. CMC Vellore BPT programme is affiliated with Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University.

The eligibility criteria to seek admission to the CMC Vellore BPT programme 2024 are mentioned as under: 

• Candidates should have passed Class 12 from the CBSE board or equivalent with a minimum of 50 percent in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology provided the candidate has passed in each subject separately.
• A candidate also must have passed in English (core or elective or functional) as a subject of study in the qualifying examination.

CMC Vellore BPT 2024 admission process involves a set of events and proper participation of the candidates is required to conclude the admissions. Below are the steps of the admission process: 

Step 1: Fill the CMC Vellore BPT 2024 Application Form

To start the admission process, first candidates have to register themselves before filling the actual application form. The application form requires personal details, academic details and a passport-size photograph along with the scanned image of the signature. The candidates should also ensure to pay the application fee.

Candidates have to download the CMC Vellore BPT 2024 admit card which is required to be produced in the form of a hard copy at the centre on the day of the examination to access the entry into the examination hall. Step 3: Computer-Based Test

Admissions to the BPT programme will be based on merit. The merit will be decided based on the two-step test. A preliminary Computer-based Step -1 test, followed by Step-2 test (practical tests and interview) for short-listed candidates.

Step 5: Registration for Admission

Those finally selected for admission after interviews and tests will be required to register for the course by paying the tuition fee and completing other admission formalities. Students should submit their certificates in original. (Admission to the degree courses will continue to be provisional until approved by the Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University). Admission to BPT for the year is subject to being certified medically fit by the Medical Board of the Christian Medical College, Vellore.

Personal and academic details of the candidates will be required to fill the form. The CMC Vellore BPT 2024 application will only be considered complete and will be accepted by the conducting body after the payment of the application fee. What to carry on the exam day?

CMC Vellore BPT 2024 will be conducted in offline mode, i.e. pen and paper mode. Candidates are required to bring their own pencil or blue/black ball-point pen to mark answers in the OMR sheet. The conducting body has also issued a list of belongings not to be carried inside the exam hall. The list includes any paper or document other than the admit card, gadgets like calculators, mobile phones, electronic/smartwatches are belongings that are prohibited inside the exam hall.

Documents Required

On the day of the examination, candidates are required to bring some documents along with them which will make them eligible to access the entrance to the examination hall. Documents such as CMC Vellore admit card is required to be carried to the exam centre. Candidates who are unable to produce a printed copy of the admit card will not be allowed to take the test. Along with admitting card, documents such as a driver's license, Aadhar card, PAN card, ID card or any original photo ID proof issued by the government to the CMC Vellore BPT 2024 exam centre are required to be taken with them.
