IAF has announced AFCAT (2) 2020 SSB Interview dates. The SSB Interview will commence from November 14. 

AFCAT 2020

Indian Air Force (IAF) has announced AFCAT (2) 2020 SSB Interview date for Flying and Ground Duties (Technical and Non-Technical) branch. The SSB Interview will commence from November 14, 2020. The call letters will be issued to candidates shortly. The courses will commence from July 2021. Candidates are advised to prepare for SSB Interview accordingly.

Candidates who will qualify the online test of AFCAT (2) 2020 are required to choose SSB/AFSB date and venue by themselves from the official website of IAF. The AFSB centres are at Dehradun, Mysuru, Gandhinagar and Varanasi. Candidates who had applied for NCC Special Entry/Meteorology are directly called for AFSB testing at one of AFSB centres.

Candidates are also advised to be physically fit when they report for SSB. They will have to run one mile (1.6 kms) in 10 minutes, 10 push-ups and three chin-ups.

Stages of SSB/AFSB Interview

The SSB/AFSB Interview consists of three stages.

Stage-I

This stage comprises Officer Intelligence Rating Test along with Picture Perception and Discussion Test on the first stage. This stage is a screening test and only those who qualify are required to undergo subsequent testing. All qualified candidates are required to undergo document checking.

Stage-II

This stage continues for five days and comprises Psychological test, Group Tests and Interview.

For Flying Branch

Candidates need to appear for Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS). This test is a once in a lifetime test.
