These compartment exams are typically held a few months after the regular board exams and offer students an opportunity to reattempt any subjects they failed, thereby improving their overall pass percentage.

In situations where a student does not meet the admission requirements for college due to failing one or more subjects in their board exams, they can opt to take compartment exams with the aim of enhancing their grades. Once the results of the compartment exams are published, students can utilize their improved scores to fulfill the CUET college admission criteria.

It's essential to keep in mind that the admission procedures for each college and university can differ, and some institutions may have specific additional requirements or application deadlines for students intending to take compartment exams. Therefore, it is advisable to inquire about the admission policies regarding compartment exams at the respective college or university.

FAQs on Allahabad University CUET Subject Mapping

Q. How many subjects can I select in CUET for AU admission?

Ans. You can select five subjects: one language (from Section I), three or four domain subjects (Section II), and an optional general test (Section III). The choice depends on the specific requirements of the program you're applying to. So check the eligibility criteria and CUET SUbject Mapping of your desired course at Allahabad University on its official website or at NTA's official website.

Q. Can I apply for multiple courses using the same subject combination?

Ans. Yes, you can apply for multiple courses at Allahabad University by selecting a strategic combination of subjects in CUET. For example, choosing Economics, Mathematics, and Business Studies can make you eligible for both B.A. (Economics) and B.Com programs. This approach maximizes your chances of admission by keeping multiple pathways open. Since many universities have overlapping subject requirements, selecting versatile subjects also allows flexibility if you wish to apply for interdisciplinary or backup courses. Always review the subject mappings carefully to align your choices with multiple programs.

Q. Are language subjects mandatory for all AU courses?
