BHU BSc Admission 2020: Eligibility, Application Process, Dates, Fee

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) offers various courses at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level. At UG level the university offers BSc and BSc (Hons) programme. Admission to BSc is offered on the basis of merit and students seeking admission need to appear in an Undergraduate Entrance Test (UET) conducted by the university.

Applicants can apply online and the application fee required for this programmes is Rs 600 (General/ OBC Category) or Rs 300 (SC/ST Category). Candidates selected based on merit have to undergo a counseling procedure with the relevant university department.

BHU UET Important Dates 2020

The application window for UET is currently open and the last date to register is February 29. The exam will be conducted in April/ May. Other important dates regarding BSc admission at BHU are mentioned in the table below:

BHU BSc Admission Process 2020

BSc programme offered by BHU is available in multiple specialisations. Selection takes place on the basis of performance in the UET. The concerned head of the department/coordinator will issue electronic call letters to the candidates for counseling. BHU BSc Application Process 2020

BHU UET Application Form 2020 was out on January 30, 2020 and is available online. The application process consists of the following steps:

  1. Visit the official website and register online
  2. Fill the application form
  3. Upload image and signature as per the dimensions mentioned in the form
  4. Preview and edit (if changes required)
  5. Make payment online

BHU Scholarships 2020

Banaras Hindu University offers financial assistance and various scholarships to meritorious and needy students:

  • Blind students are offered free dinner and lunch under the Annadaan Yojna as well as 20 blind students receive Rs 5,000 per annum each
  • 100 students coming from economically weak backgrounds are granted a scholarship Rs 2,000 per annum
  • Pyare Lal - Prem Vati Memorial Scholarship worth Rs 10,000 is awarded to the student enrolled in the MBA programme who tops the first year exams
  • Dr SN Ranade Scholarship is offered to the academically best students enrolled in MBA Agri-Business programme
