The Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) exam is set to be conducted from September 18, 2020, to September 20, 2020, and it is important to follow some exam day rules laid down. Amid the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, students have been vocal about not wanting to appear for the entrance exam, however, in order for the new academic session to start, entrance exams are to take place. Many national-level entrance exams have been conducted such as JEE Main, NEET, DUET and various other exams which are lined up to be conducted this month.
The CUCET Admit Cards have been released and the exam centres along with the address have been mentioned on the CUCET hall ticket, which is an important document which is required to be carried to the CUCET exam centre. Without the admit card, the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the CUCET exam.

The Central University of Rajasthan is conducting the 2020-21 CUCET exam and the entrance exam will be conducted in offline mode (pen and paper test) for UG and PG courses, whereas for Research Programmes, the exam will be in online mode, i.e. Computer Based Test (CBT). The exam duration is two hours and the format of the question paper will be in Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The CUCET exam for Undergraduate (PG) and Postgraduate (PG) courses will be conducted across 141 cities, while CUCET for Research Programmes, will be conducted in 47 cities.

CUCET Exam Timings
The CUCET exam will be conducted over the course of three days, which is September 18, 19 and 20, 2020. The exam will be conducted in two shifts, morning shift and afternoon shift. Candidates are advised to reach the exam centre an hour before the exam is scheduled to be conducted so that entry is conducted in a smooth manner and there is no overcrowding at the time. There are certain formalities which are required to be carried out to ensure a smooth process and candidates are required to adhere to the rules. The timings are:

CUCET Exam Day Rules
There are rules which are meant to be followed and especially amid the COVID-19 pandemic, students are required to maintain social distancing, be present at the exam centre on time and to always be cautious. The CUCET rules and exam day guidelines are as follows:
Before the CUCET Exam
- Reach the exam centre one hour before the scheduled time. Just so that there is no overcrowding, reach the exam centre one hour before the CUCET exam starts.
- Keep your CUCET admit card safely along with your government-approved IDs.
- Paste your passport size photograph on your CUCET admit card.
- Dress appropriately for the entrance exams.
- Carry a black/blue ball pen. Do not carry a pencil box as it will not be required.
- DO NOT carry your mobile phone, pagers, smartwatches, calculators, electronic gadgets.
Items to be carried to the CUCET Exam Centre
- Carry your own transparent water bottle.
- Carry your hand sanitizers (50 ML).
- Carry your own mask.
- Transparent Black/Ball pen.

At Time of Entry
- The main point in mind is to maintain social distancing. Stay six feet away from others.
- Hand sanitizers and three-ply masks will be provided by the officials.
- Show your CUCET admit card and the official govt. authorized ID.
- Obey all guidelines in order to ensure a smooth transition.
- Candidates will be scanned through thermo guns and will be asked to sanitize their hands before entering.
- Candidates will be frisked through non-touch body handles.
- Keep your bags outside the room along with other materials you have.
During CUCET Exam
- Candidates will be seated in such a way that social distancing will be followed. There will be one seat vacant to ensure that.
- The candidate will be provided with the question paper, followed by the OMR sheet. Candidates will also be given A4 sheets to do their rough work.
- DO NOT attempt to cheat or make any suspicious movements which can cause disqualification.
After CUCET Exam
- Once finished, candidates will not be able to leave the exam centre early.
- Candidates will have to leave the exam centre in an orderly fashion.
- Candidates will be allowed to take the question booklet along with them.
- Continue to maintain six feet social distancing others. Avoid touching anything such as railings, gates, door handles, etc.
CUCET COVID-19 Safety Instructions
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, it is important to maintain social distancing and keep your hand sanitizers at all time. In order to ensure that the facilities provided will be safe, the officials will sanitize the tables, the rooms, the doors, the gates and other items which can be sanitized. However, prevention is better than cure.
- Carry your own hand sanitizers and keep it with you at all times.
- DO NOT remove your mask at any point of time.
- DO NOT touch your eyes, ears and nose. Use your handkerchief if required
- Maintain six feet from people, even your own friends at the centre.
- The candidate will be provided with hand sanitizers and ply masks at the centre.
- Obey all instructions and rules as laid down by the officials.
