CCMN is the centralised platform for admissions to the MSc and MSc (Tech Programmes) to NITs, IIEST Shibpur and some CFTI institutes that accept the IIT JAM scorecard. Test takers who will appear for IIT JAM 2025 can also take admissions to the CCMN participating institutes by filling out the CCMN registration cum admission form for the academic session 2025-2026.
The organising institute will notify the CCMN 2025 counselling schedule dates in the third week of May 2025, tentatively on the official website. CCMN application form 2025 will be released in the fourth week of May 2025, tentatively on the CCMN official web portal. The registration process is a single fill-in online application form gateway in order to apply to all programmes in all the participating institutions to which they are eligible.
The last date to fill out the registration form and CCMN Registration form 2025 fee details will be notified in due course. The exam officials will be providing admissions via three rounds of the CCMN Counselling process 2025 along with the two special rounds and a national spot round (to fill up the vacant seats, if any). Q: When will the application process of CCMN 2025 start?
CCMN Application form for the counselling process will be out in the fourth week of May 2025, tentatively. Candidates who will appear for the IIT JAM 2025 examination and wishes to take admissions in the MSc/ MSc Tech degree porgrammes offered at NITs, IIEST Shibpur and some CFTI institutes need to fill out the CCMN 2025 online application cum counselling form.

Q: Who is organising body for CCMN 2025?
Every year different organising body organises CCMN counselling. The information brouchre of CCMN 2024 is out in the second week of May 2025, tentatively. Since CCMN 2025 notification is yet to be announced, therefore the name is not provided here.
Last year CCMN 2024 was facilitated by SVNIT Surat and before that Malviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) Jaipur was the organising body.
What is CCMN?
CCMN stands for Centralized Common Counselling for MSc and MSc (Tech) admissions at NITs and CFTIs. The CCMN counselling process is conducted based on IIT JAM 2025 scores. Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat is conducting the CCMN counselling this year. There are multiple rounds of counselling are being conducted to take admission through the JAM score card. The CCMN-2024 counselling is for full-time seats carrying scholarships. It is NOT for candidates seeking admission to Sponsored Seats or part-time programmes, for which candidates should contact the respective institutes for the same.
Q: What is the best strategy of choice filling for CCMN 2025?
Applicants while filling the CCMN counselling application form, should fill the choice of instititute or programme only those in which they are certainly interested. One must refrain from casual or take-a-chance approach.
Once a seat is allotted, students must follow the due procedure to take admission in the respective institutes.
Q: What is CCMN all about?

Q: How is CCMN counselling process online document verification done?
The document verification will be done by the verifying officers of the participating institutes only in the online mode. In case of a doubt/query regarding the documents, the Document Verifying Officer will raise a query to the candidate, against which, the
candidate can respond through her/his login. This interaction between the Document Verifying Officer and the candidate can occur multiple times till the issue is resolved. The candidate will be compulsorily required to submit her/his clarifications/documents in
response to the queries raised by the Document Verifying Officer in the stipulated time period, failing which (s)he will be treated as Not-Reported, and hence her/his seat will be cancelled and (s)he will not be considered for seat allotment in subsequent rounds.

Q: What is Seat Acceptance Fee in CCMN 2025?
Once a seat is allotted in CCMN counselling to the students, they need to deposit INR 15,000/- (for GEN/OBC/GEN-EWS) and INR 10,000/- (for SC/ST/PwD) towards Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF).
After this applicants need to upload the required documents and submit their willingness as per the procedure.
This SAF amount will later be adjusted in the total fee to be deposited for the allotted institute.
Q: how many maximum institutes one can choose while filling CCMN counselling?
While filling the application of CCMN counselling, students can choose as many choices as they wish to choose from the list of eligible PIs and programs.
The online system of choice filling has been designed in such a way that it will display only those choices to candidates for which they are eligible, as per the eligibility degree, discipline, and JAM exam score.
Q: If I was allotted a seat but could not respond to the query of document verifying officer, Can I participate in CCMN counselling again?
No, You cannot. If any candidate does not respond to the query of document verifying officer, their allotment shall stand cancelled. The resulting vacancy will be allotted to another eligible candidate in the subsequent round (s).
The applicant would be considered as “Not-Reported” and would not be eligible for subsequent rounds.
However, student can participate in Special Rounds.

Q: When will the first round of CCMN seat allotment release?
The first round of seat allotment of CCMN will be out in the fisrt week fo June 2025, tentatively. The official dates of first round of CCMN seat allotment were released on the official notification.
After the first allotment is done, the document verifying officer will notify the applicants to further participate in the counselling process.
In case applicants don't get a seat in first seat allotment then can further apply for the next round of allotment.
Q: When will CCMN seat allotment dates be released?
The CCMN seats allotment for 2025 will be out in the secind week of May 2025, tentatively. The first round of seat allotment will be released on First week of June 2025, tentatively. While the second and third round of allotment will be out in the firts week of July 2025, tentatively.
The official dates of CCMN seat allotment will be out for phase 1 only. The CCMN seat allotment is done through the score of applicants in IIT JAM exam.
CCMN 2025 Eligibility Criteria
The CCMN 2025 eligibility criteria for participating in the counselling process:

Candidates belonging to General, General-Economically Weaker Section (Gen-EWS) and OBC categories should have passed BSc or an equivalent course with at least 6.5 CGPA or 60 per cent aggregate and those belonging to reserved categories (SC, ST, PWD) should obtain 6.0 CGPA or 55 per cent aggregate

Candidates in the final year of their qualifying degree are also eligible to apply, provided they submit the final mark sheet by September 30, 2025.

The candidates who possess certificates/qualifications from any of the professional societies (such as The Institution of Engineers (India) (IE), The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), The Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI), The Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, including Polymer and Environmental Group (IIChemE), The Indian Institute of Metals (IIM), The Indian Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE), etc. ) and have enrolled with these institutions with permanent recognition up to May 31, 2014, may also be eligible to participate in some of the PG programs, offered through CCMN-2025, as per the eligibility criteria of respective PIs.
Q: If I do not fulfil my eligibility criteria, will my CCMN application be accepted?
Applicants’ eligibility will not be verified during the CCMN application process. It will be checked during the CCMN counselling document verification process. In case a candidate does not fulfil eligibility criteria, their candidature will be cancelled and the application fee will not be refunded.
Hence one must be careful and read all the important instructions and necessary documents before filling the application form.
Q: If I apply for CCMN and fail to secure the minimum marks, will my registration fee be returned?
No. The Registration fee of CCMN is non-refundable. If applicants do not secure the minimum marks/CGPA, their seat allotment would be cancelled even if they are provisionally admitted to a specific institute.
Hence students are advised to ensure that they are fulfilling all the necessary parameters before filling the CCMN 2025 application form.
Q: What are CCMN conversion rules for the programmes groups in counselling process?
There will not be de-reservation of unfilled seats at all. However, in Special Round-1 (SR-1) and Special Round-2 (SR-2), the unfilled seats, if any, in the Program Groups G2, G3, etc. will be converted into the lower numbered group in the same category. In a particular round (SR-1 and SR-2), first iteration of allotment will be carried out without conversion and then the subsequent iteration will be carried out with conversion of unfilled seats related as per the following rules.
The conversion of unfilled seats will occur among the programme groups viz. from Programme group G5 to G4, G4 to G3, G3 to G2, G2 to G1. (refer section 14 “Seat and Eligibility Matrix” about details of these groups) in the same category. Programme group G5 seats will be converted to G4 group only when G5 group candidates possessing the minimum eligibility criteria are not available for G5 group seats and so on for other groups.

Q: What is application fees for CCMN counselling 2024?
The application fees for CCCMN counselling varies for different category candidates. This year the registration fee for CCMN is changed.
For the General, General-EWS and OBC category candidates is is INR 3,500 and that for the reserved category candidates it is INR 3,000.
For the year 2024, CCMN application fees is notified along with released of the official notification.
CCMN 2025 Counselling Process
The CCMN 2025 Counselling Process can be divided into the following stages:
i. Online Registration, Choice Filling and Locking: This is the first and foremost step of the CCMN 2025 counselling process. Here, eligible candidates will have to register by filling the online registration form by filling in with the correct information and details and paying the requisite application fee, which is non-refundable in nature. After the registration process is complete, they will have to log in to the CCMN 2025 portal and select and lock the preferred programmes offered by the participating institutes (PIs). Candidates will not be able to unlock or change their choices once the choices are locked. Candidates must ensure that they complete the process before the deadline.
ii. Seat Allotment: Within the first round of counselling, seats will be allotted to the eligible candidates based on the applicant's merit and eligibility criteria. Candidates have to accept the allotted seat by paying the admission fee, uploading the required documents, and submit willingness within the stipulated time. Failing to follow any of these steps will result in the cancellation of the admission offer.
iii. Online Document Verification: The respective college authorities will verify the documents uploaded by the candidates. In case of any discrepancies, the officials will seek clarification on the same from the candidates, which they have to respond to online, by logging in to the CCMN portal. After successful document verification and confirmation of the seat, the candidate will be required to complete the admission formalities by depositing the balance institute fee during the period of ″Online Admission″.
iv. Change of Willingness/Withdrawal: In case candidates are not satisfied with the allotted seat, they may withdraw the seat and opt for participating in the next round of counselling. They will have to select one of the options, Change of Willingness or Withdrawal. In the former option, candidates will have to select further options from ‘Surrender and Participate in Next Round’ in addition to ‘Float’, ‘Slide’, and ‘Freeze’. The latter option refers to the withdrawal of interest. In such a scenario, candidates will not be able to participate in further rounds of CCMN counselling.
There will be three rounds of counselling and two Special Rounds, depending on the vacant seats.
v. Reporting at the Finally Allotted Institute for Admission: In the final stage, candidates have to report to the finally allotted institute and get the hard copies of the documents verified and pay the requisite admission fees.

Q: What is mode of document verification in CCMN counselling?
The document verification process of CCMN will be conducted in online mode by the participating institutes.
However, after accepting the final seat allotment, candidates will have to visit the college where they are willing to take admission, and the admission officials will verify the original hard copies of the documents.
After verification will be done, students will be given the admission in their respective institutes.
Q: What is the difference between the change of willingness and withdrawal in CCMN?
While choosing ‘Change of Willingness’ option in CCMN counselling, candidates have to surrender the allotted seat and participate in the next rounds of counselling. The other institute options they opted for during the registration and seat locking process, apart from the allotted seats will be carried forward.
In case of selecting the option of Withdrawal, candidates will have to withdraw or surrender the allotted seat. In doing so, they will not be able to participate in further rounds of the counselling process but can apply in Special Rounds as fresh candidate by paying the required fee.

Q: What to do if there is a discrepancy in the name on the certificate or JAM scorecard in CCMN document verification process?
At the time of registration applicants should write their name as filled in JAM application form. However, during document verification process candidates can give an affidavit on INR 50/- Stamp Paper stating that the two names belong to the same person and if found false at any stage then his/her seat in CCMN counselling will be cancelled.

Q: What to do if I have lost my JAM scorecard for CCMN counselling?
Applicants are advised to contact the IIT JAM exam conducting authority to obtain a score card as it is a compulsorily document required to be uploaded for document verification after allotment of a seat.
In case of missing of IIT JAM score the candidature of applicants can be rejected at any stage of admission process.
Q: What is locking in CCMN counselling?
Locking is the process of the final submission of choices in CCMN counselling. Once the choices are locked, they cannot be further modified/edited.
Before locking, please applicants are advised to ensure that they are satisfied with their order. Also, applicants need to ensure that they are fulfilling special eligibility conditions all their choices if any.

NIT Meghalaya MSc admission is based on CCMN scores, followed by CCMN Counselling process. Q: If I apply for CCMN and fail to secure the minimum marks, will my registration fee be returned?
No. The Registration fee of CCMN is non-refundable. If applicants do not secure the minimum marks/CGPA, their seat allotment would be cancelled even if they are provisionally admitted to a specific institute.
Hence students are advised to ensure that they are fulfilling all the necessary parameters before filling the CCMN 2025 application form.
