The IISER Entrance Exam 2025 pattern is expected to remain the same as the previous year's IISER Entrance Exam.The exam will be conducted in a computer-based test. IAT 2025 applicant's subject knowledge will be tested based on the format of multiple choice questions (MCQs) that will be asked in the examination.

IAT 2025 mock test link will be activated soon for the test takers to practice the exam questions in the predefined exam pattern and timings.There will be only 60 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) that the exam authority will ask from the mentioned IISER syllabus 2025.

Last year the marking scheme of the examination was modified. The only change that was made by the exam conducting body is the marks earned for each correct answer. Earlier the examination was 180 marks, but now the maximum mark of the examination is 240 marks

Q:   What format is the IISER Entrance Exam 2025?

A:

Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) conduct an entrance exam in order to provide admission to candidates in the five-year-long BSMS dual degree programme offered by them. The IISER Entrance Exam 2025 format is multiple choice questions (MCQ), where four options will be given to the candidates against a question. Candidates are needed to select one option amongst the four options which are mentioned. To every correct answer, marks will be awarded to the candidates.

Q:   Is it compulsory to attempt the biology section of IISER entrance exam?

A:
No, it's not compulsory. There is no best of 3 but your cumulative score is considered and there are several people who achieve a good score with PCM, however, it's preferred if you attempt to bio improve your score to improve your chance of getting your preferred IISER.

Marking scheme: Candidates will be awarded three marks for each correct answer. There will be negative marking of one mark for each incorrect answer.

 

Q:   Am I allowed to carry a calculator to the exam centre of IISER Entrance Exam?

A:

No. Students are not permitted to carry any electronic device including a calculator. However, candidates need not to get worried about the calculator as the numerical which will be asked in the examination will be upto the class 12. Candidates need to remember some basic log values which can be used in solving some of the equations in mathematics and Physics The student will be provided with plain sheets to do their calculation.
