UPCATET syllabus should be completed by the candidates before appearing for the exam. The questions in the UPCATET exam are asked from the syllabus of UPCATET. Since exam conducting authorities don't provide the official syllabus in the notification as it mentions that for UG courses class 12th board syllabus, for PG courses the syllabus of graduation is recommended. 

The exam conducting authorities don't provide any official syllabus for the candidates appearing in the exam first time. Applicants are advised to check the syllabus of UPCATET 2024 from the academic standard of exams i,e 10,10+2, 10+2+3.

The UPCATET syllabus is generally based on Class 10 and Class 12 standard Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. The basic syllabus for UPCATET 2024 is as follows:

  • General Studies
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Mathematics

Undergraduate Program: The syllabus prescribed for UPCATET is according to the UP board for international examination in the concerned subject.

Masters Program: The syllabus studied from the undergraduate course in the concerned subject.

PhD Program: The syllabus studied from in masters’ course in the concerned subject.

Q:   When will UPCATET 2024 Admit Card be issued?

The admit card of UPCATET 2024 was released in online mode on the official website. The authorities released the admit card on May 27, 2024. To download the UPCATET hall ticket 2024 applicants need to enter their login credentials Registration number/user id and password. 

After entering these details applicants also need to enter the security answer. Once admit card will be downloaded, save it for fututre reference.

UPCATET 2024 UG And PG Syllabus 2024

The syllabus of UG and PG courses is not explicitly demarcated by the exam conducting authority. 

The UPCATET UG syllabus 2024 will be the same as of syllabus of class 12th UP Board syllabus.  

While the syllabus of UPCATET PG 2024 will be simmilar to the graduation courses. It will not be different for the graduation exam.

A:

Applicants who want to prepare and qualify UPCATET exam in first attempt must have a concrete plan and then execution becomes important to qualify it. The UPCATET exam is held once in year hence candidates preparing for the exam must complete their syllabus in advance at least 3 months before the commencement of exam.

  • Now devotee last 3 months to practise the previous year question papers.

Q:   What are the options of the questions paper in UPCATET exam?

Applicants while filling their application form will be given four choice, PCB, PCM, PAG, and PHS. Students will have to choose any of this choice in the form as per their education qualification. They will be given paper of their choice in the UPCATET exam. There will be no change in the examination hall for any paper under any cicrumstances hence applicants must choose carefully while filling the form. 

Candidates will be given admission to the similar course for which they have appeared in the exam. There will be 200 questions in exam out of them 20 questions will be from General Knowledge topic and rest 180 will be from the group for which they have applied.

The marking scheme of UPCATET exam is as follows:
- The UPCATET exam consists of multiple-choice questions, where each question carries 4 marks.
- The UPCATET exam has a total of 200 questions, and the maximum marks that can be scored are 800.
- To qualify the UPCATET exam, applicants need to score passing marks. 
The total duration alloted to this UPCATET exam will be 3 hours

While filling the online application form of UPCATET, applicants are given 4 options to choose, which paper they want to appear for the exam. Their paper will be of same combination which they have filled in their application form.

Q:   Is there different exam pattern for UG and PG programme?

A:

Yes there will be different exam pattern of UG and PG courses in UPCATET exam. The UG courses i.e BSc & BTech and Post graduate courses i.e MBA, MSc have different pattern. The number of courses for UG is 200 while for PG it is 100. The total marks allotted for UG courses is 600, while for PG it is 300. 

Though each question from UG and PG weigh same 3 marks only

Time duration for both UG and PG is also different, UG is of 3 hours and PG is of 2 hours.
