Aligarh Muslim University offers a full-time BSc course at the undergraduate level. Candidates seeking admission to AMU for BSc must visit the official website of the University to apply online. AMU BSc admission is completely entrance-based. Depending upon the BSc specialisation chosen by a candidate, the admission is provided based on candidates' marks in either AMU Entrance Exam or CUET-UG. Based on the entrance exam scores, AMU will release a merit list of selected students. As a final step, selected students need to pay the admission fee to confirm their seats.

Aligarh Muslim University offers a three-year full-time BSc course at the undergraduate level. Apart from the BSc course, the University also offers BSc (Hons) courses. A BSc graduate from Aligarh Muslim University is eligible for various government jobs. Some of these jobs profiles include Technical Assistant, Agricultural Officer, Indian Forest Officer, Nursing Officer, etc. They are also eligible for the government jobs provided by the following departments/recruiting organisations:

AMU has a pre-defined set of eligiblity criteria for admission to the various BSc specialisations that it provides. The eligibility crietra vary across the specialisations. In general, a candidate must have scored a minimum of 50% in Class 12 with relevant Science subjects to be eligible for BSc admission at AMU. The relevant subjects may vary depending upon the choice of specialisation. Further, candidates must not be more than 24 years old as of July 01 in the year of admission.

Aligarh Muslim University accepts Persian/4 exam to shortlist candidates for admission to seven undergraduate courses.

Candidates seeking admission to any of the above-listed courses need to fill out the CUET application form through the CUET official website to appear for the entrance exam. There is no such provision for direct admission to any of the programmes offered at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). Candidates seeking admission at AMU must meet the eligibility criteria laid down by the university. Those who meet the eligibility criteria can register for the prescribed entrance examinations. The minimum marks required for admission to AMU depends on the selected course. Generally, for all the UG courses the minimum requirement is that the candidate must have passed class 12 with a minimum 50% aggregate and for AMU PG courses admission, 50% in graduation is required.

Yes, Aligarh Muslim University admission to most of the courses is based on CUET scores. Admission to AMU undergraduate courses including  BSc (Hons.) Community Science, BA (Hons/Research), BVoc in Production Technology, Polymer and Coating Technology and Fashion Design & Garment Technology and BSc (Hons/Research) is completely based on valid Central University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) scores. From the academic session 2022, all the central universities along with a few state-deemed universities and private universities started accepting CUET scores for admission to their UG and PG courses. 

AMU offers a two-year full-time MBA course at the postgraduate level. The University is currently accepting applications for its MBA courses, interested candidates must visit the official website of AMU to apply online. Aligarh Muslim University accepts AMU-CAT entrance tests for MBA admission. Aligarh Muslim University Common Admission Test (AMU-CAT) is conducted by the University. The date of the AMU entrance exam is yet to be released by Aligarh Muslim University. However, the AMU-CAT entrance test generally conducts in June every year.

In terms of placements, AMU has maintained a good record for Law courses. As per the NIRF report 2023, the highest median package offered during 2022 placements was INR 12.30 LPA and was made to BA LLB students.
