Precious moments of my life.
Placements: In almost every year, 15 to 20 students get placed in various reputed companies like TCS, Mahindra, etc. The average package offered by the companies is almost 19,000 to 50,000, which is very good for students to get at the age of 23 and 24. The B.Com courses in our college are famous and popular in the Barak Valley and in our region.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good. The college was renovated in the year 2013. This college has 6 floors, and almost 1,500 students study every year. Our college has all the facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, well-decorated classrooms, and a library.
Faculty: The faculty of our college is very good because all of them are highly qualified, holding their degrees as well as other important degrees required to pursue their studies. In each department, almost 5 to 10 teachers are available for teaching, and all the departments have Ph.D. holders who are very helpful to the students.
Other: I chose the Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degree because it is very popular in the commerce stream and is mandatory for commerce students who want to pursue a CA course in the future.

Life in Gurucharan College.
Placements: Gurucharan College is one of the reputed colleges in our locality. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Economics. Every year around 2000 students get admission to the college. But unfortunately, in our college, packages are not available. But if someone gets good marks, they can get good jobs in the future.
Infrastructure: Gurucharan College is good for its infrastructure. It has a very big playground and many big halls. The campus is very beautiful, and CCTV cameras are installed everywhere for security. It has a big library with many different types of books that students can take home using library cards. Classrooms are very neat and clean, and whiteboards and smartboards are attached to the walls. Hostel facilities are also good for both boys and girls, and the quality of food in the mess and canteen is also good.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good, and they try their best to provide every information and knowledge they have to us. My course, B.Sc. in Economics, is related to the study of the Indian economy and other factors. It helps students understand the country’s economy. The difficulty level is good in exams. Around 90% of students pass their exams.
Other: I have chosen this course because I have an interest in economics. I want to give competitive exams like RBI Grade B and other similar exams, so I decided to study this course. Our college is famous for its fests and programs. Every year, it celebrates Sarada Utsav and Freshers' Party in a very big way. Many students participate and show their talent. The campus is very beautiful and surrounded by nature. Extracurricular activities, like running a group to help the poor and disabled people, are also organized.

Faculty and hostel are good.
Placements: Placement is not good; internships are only conducted by Nielit. Not good so not all will get placed. The only student who is placed is on their own, not in college. The faculty is good. The environment is good for studying. All the facilities were good until it came to mess food.
Infrastructure: The library is a digital library and it is good for studying. All the books in the library are for students. The labs are good. Classrooms are good and larger. Sports areas are good, like football, tennis and volleyball. Everything is good but not the canteen, like the weekend is off.
Faculty: semester exam is good all the subject questions are as asked per class. All the questions comes from the class topic, which is studying in class. If anyone studies class notes, then he/she is able to do so. Wi-Fi is not available in classes. Only Wi-Fi is available in hostel.
Other: Event is good .

About Assam University, Silchar.
Placements: I am studying in Agriculture engineering. The package is not so good but it is average. Top companies are Mahendra, TCS, Tata, and many more. Approximately 70% of students got internships off-campus. There are so many students in my course approximately 60. As I am first-year student I do not have any idea about top roles offered.
Infrastructure: Hostel is good. Food is also good as compared to living in PGs or rental rooms. Infrastructure is not so good but this course is good I think. Classrooms have Wi-Fi and there are so many labs as compared to so many central universities.
Faculty: Teachers are good and experienced. All have experience of more than 5 years. The course curriculum is relevant because it is central government college and has qualified teachers. Semester exam is moderate, but the guarding in exam is so hard.
Other: There are many fests and events in this college. There is so much crowd that we do not accept but it is real. It is a central government college.

It is a very good University in all fields.
Placements: 80% percent of students got placement from this university in a good package. 70-80% of students got internships from our university in good companies like Sunfarma, Ajanta, and Cipla medicinal industries. Last year, one girl in our district became a drug inspector; she is a student of our University.
Infrastructure: Free Wi-Fi is available in the campus, hostels, etc., wherever you go. Facilities of hostels are too good. Food given in the hostel is very good, like different dishes are given on different days. A medical center is present there for any emergency problem. Doctors are available 24 hours. The sports and games club is also very active.
Faculty: Department teachers are very helpful. If you have a problem in any subject, you can ask the respective subject teachers, and they will help you to clear your doubts. If you study properly, you can score good marks. Exams are not so difficult; you just have to focus on your study.
Other: This is a central university, and the environment of this campus is very good. Overall, it's very nice in all fields.

Review of B.Tech at Assam University, Silchar.
Placements: Placement opportunities are very poor at Assam University, Silchar. The T&P is also not very active. Companies rarely visit our campus for recruitment purposes. Most students get placed off campus. The same condition is with the internship also; however, CSE and AE provide internships.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good. The classrooms are spacious and can accommodate a total of 50–60 students. The labs are not so well equipped with the latest equipment. Sometimes basic equipment is also not working. Hostels are good but the food quality is very poor.
Faculty: The faculty members are well qualified with Ph.D. degrees. But the teaching quality is average and they are also not very helpful. The course curriculum is as per AICTE norms but in the case of elective subjects, only one subject has to be chosen by all due to a shortage of faculty members.
Other: The authority is very much lazy and every task gets delayed here. The campus life is also average, with very few fests happening on campus.

* Well-maintained infrastructure: The university has modern classrooms, laboratories, and recreational facilities, ensuring a conducive environment for learning.
* Placements: While the placement record may not be outstanding, some students have secured jobs in government organizations, educational institutions, and media outlets.

Cons:

* Limited placement opportunities: Companies rarely visit the campus for recruitment, and students may need to rely on their own efforts to secure a job.
* Low stipend for interns: Internships are available, but the stipend is relatively low (Rs. 8,000 - Rs. 10,000 per month).

Q:   Is the BSc B.Ed Integrated course at Assam University a good option?

A:

Pursuing a BSc B.Ed Integrated course at Assam University allows the student to either pursue higher education or start preparing for government exams. Also, it is advised not to have an education gap post completing BSc and opting for the BSc B.Ed Integrated course will make you the degree awardee of both of these courses in one go which is a perfect aspect of choosing this integrated course.

BSc BEd graduates can work in the Science and education fields based on their goals, interests, and long-term career aspirations. Although, it is not so smooth for every student because completing both degree courses in one go is not easy.

Hence, it is a good option, but candidates must opt for the BSc B.Ed Integrated course according to their career choices and other requirements.
