    Q:   Does BHU accept CUET for BSc (Hons) admission?

    A: 

    Yes, to apply for BHU BSc (Hons) course, candidates need to register online for CUET-UG. From 2022, the BHU-UET exam is replaced with this exam. Based on the merit of candidates' performance in the entrance exam, candidates are then required to register separately for the counselling round. National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted CUET-UG entrance test from May 21 to Jun 23 and the result was declared on Jul 15.

    Q:   How are the placements in BHU for BSc?

    A: 

    BHU has not released placement report 2023 as of now. However, as per media reports, the overall the highest and average package offered was INR 1.2 crore per annum and INR 23.13 LPA, respectively. According to the BHU NIRF report 2023, the median package offered to UG (3-Year) candidates during the BHU placements 2022 is presented below:

    A: 

    Candidates seeking admission to BHU BSc (Hons) course must visit the official website of the university to apply online. BHU BSc (Hons) admission is based on candidates' performance in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG). To get admission to BHU BSc (Hons) courses candidates need to register for the CUET-UG entrance test. Based on the marks secured in the test, BHU will release a list of selected students to further appear for the CUET-UG counselling process. The final selection is based on the CUET-UG score and counselling.

    For admission to BHU BSc, candidates must meet the minimum eligibility requirement. It is also crucial that the students hold the relevant documents. The course-wise eligibility criteria is further mentioned in the table given below:

    Class 12 in Agriculture or in Science (with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology) or any equivalent examination recognised by the University, securing a minimum of 50% aggregate

    Q:   Is BSc Maths (Hons) available at BHU?

    A: 

    Yes, BHU offers three-year BSc (Hons) in Maths. The course is divided into six semesters. Candidates seeking admission need to appear for CUET conducted by NTA followed by a counselling round. The applications for the same are accepted in online mode (cuet.samarth.ac.in). Moreover, before registration, candidates shall carefully check the course-specific eligibility criteria.     Q:   How to apply for BSc Hons at BHU?

    A: 

    The BHU BSc application process begins with the CUET-UG registrations. Hence, aspirants need to apply through the official website of NTA. To submit the form successfully, candidates need to pay an application fee of INR 650 (General/ OBC Category)/ INR 550 (SC/ST Category). The steps to apply in BHU are as follows:

    • Visit the official website of CUET-UG and click on the 'New Registration' tab and read the instructions carefully before proceeding.
    • Fill out the application form with all the mandatory details such as personal, educational qualifications etc. 
    • Upload the scanned photograph and signature as per the prescribed specifications.
