It is the best college to provide every facility at a low cost.
Placements: About 60% of the students got placed. MNC companies offered the salary package, and internships are also good. About 60% of the students got an internship in our course. Mainly students got placed in ONGC. We are highly appreciated and excited to sit in the placement cell, which is new for us and get new experience.
Infrastructure: I think our college has the best facilities in the world. They provide Wi-Fi with a high-speed without any problems, and labs are the best. Food is good, and I think all facilities are good. The library is good to use, and all books are available in the library, including all old books.
Faculty: Teachers used good techniques to teach, and they are knowledgeable. They provide all notes as we all need, and all teachers are highly educated and experienced. In Banaras Hindu University, many teachers are available for each subject who are available to teach us.
Other: I have chosen this course because this stream provides good placements. Some improvements are required in food, hostel and organisations of the festival system.

Review of BHU - Banaras Hindu University.
Placements: Some of the companies such as ONGC, Vedanta and CIL visit for the department of geology, BHU for campus placements. In the previous year, ONGC visited the campus, but they did not allow geology students because BHU does not offer placements for M.Sc or applied geology degrees at present. However, Vedanta visits our college every year for placements.
Infrastructure: Roads inside BHU are full and are fair throughout. However, it is good for the hospital and medical college. The campus in BHU is very peaceful, and infrastructure is very good. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled and also has a central library which is open for 24 hours for students.
Faculty: Our department is unique in the country. It has competent and distinguished faculty members in almost all branches of geology, mineralogy, crystallography structure and tectonics. The department of geology is related to remote sensing.

College was satisfactory in terms of infrastructure and faculty while placement was not available .
Placements: There were no placements available for science graduate students. Placements were available only for M.sc or M.sc (tech) or professional courses. Internships were available in own and other department also. Teachers encourage for doing internships under their guidance.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are good with all basic facilities, books are available most of the i time in libraries , medical facilities were poor and Wi-Fi was available while lab could be better in terms of infrastructure. Parking was available for cycle, bikes and cars, even for students.
Faculty: All the Faculty were PhD holders, cooperative and interactive and had full support . Blackboard , PPT , Models were used as a teaching method. Student to faculty ratio 60 /15 . There were geological tour organised every year , which involve visit to mining areas and different geological exposures. Course curriculum was good but practicals were repetitive and very boring.
Other: College campus was good with a healthy environment with lots of activities going on every week , seminars and workshop were use to held in different department on different topics . Fest were organised at college and intercollege level in a highly competitive environment.

It is the best university, and it provides the best facilities for students education in India.
Placements: After pursuing B.Sc Hons in geology, there is not any kind of placements in geology. However, while completing M.Sc in geology, you can get a job in ONGC or GSI and its related field. GSI, ONGC and mining companies visit here for placements. You will work as professors in geology-related universities. Our college offers mining geology, ore mineralogy and coal petroleum. The highest salary package offered is 10 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 6 LPA. Around 10% to 20% of the students get internships in coal mining, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college has one of the topmost departments in India for B.Sc Hons in geology. Here you can get a free Wi-Fi facility and the best lab where all practicals and experiments related to geology are conducted. You can also get different rock samples, optical microscope for every student and air-conditioned lab. Classrooms are in very good condition, and the departmental library is available to study. Here you can learn many things related to geology from the topmost professors. Hostel facilities are also very best, and the hostel fee is very less. The mess provides good quality food, and bathrooms are of the new generation. You will get hot water in winter, 24x7 electricity and all kinds of sports. Free medical facilities are available 24x7, and the canteen is also available, which provides snacks, tea and many more.
Faculty: Teachers here do their best in teaching and very much helpful to students. They are knowledgeable and have a higher degree of qualifications. They are well educated as they have a PhD degree, qualified GATE, NET and JRF. After doing M.Sc, this course is relevant, and it is the best course for maths students who want to choose geology as a career. This course is most relevant for maths students.
Other: This course is very interesting, and in this course, we study the history of the earth and earth's interior, rocks, mountains, oceans and many more, which make this course quite interesting. So, I have chosen it. I wish that our college should also make this course relevant to biology students who choose geology as a career. Everything related to students welfare is available on BHU campus.
