B.Com. (Hons.) in Accounting and Finance - Batch of 2022
Offered by Seth Anandram Jaipuria College, Kolkata

Amazing college experience with very supportive faculty.
Placements: I am pleased to share that our batch saw impressive placement records. More than 85% of students from our course were placed in top companies like KPMG, PWC, Deloitte, etc. Top roles offered were financial Analyst, management trainee, and business development executive. The highest salary package offered was 12 LPA.
Infrastructure: Although my college didn't have any attached hostel, it provided excellent infrastructure and facilities. Department of Commerce had classrooms equipped with comfortable seating, projectors, and screens. We had access to well-equipped labs with modern computers, and vast Library. Campus had seamless Wi-Fi connectivity, enabling us to access online resources. Our college had medical rooms, gym, and cafeteria.
Faculty: Faculty members were highly qualified, knowledgeable, and very supportive. Course curriculum was well-structured and relevant for today's Corporate Field. It covers financial accounting, cost accounting, management, Taxation, law, etc. This course is for 4 years semester basis. So every year had 2 exams and the passing mark was 40.
Other: I chose this course for its industry relevance and job prospects.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com. Hons.) - Batch of 2028
Offered by BESC - The Bhawanipur Education Society College

The Bhawanipur Commerce Section (Morning).
Placements: The students of the college are recruited by the Big4 Companies. The highest package offered is 14 LPA, while the average package is 7 LPA. The college gives internships to its students. Around 30-40% of students are placed each year. The other students go on to pursue professional courses in the commerce field.
Infrastructure: The college has no hostel. There are various labs spread around the campus. There is a canteen which provides a wide range of dishes, but they are vegetarian, and I find them a bit expensive. There is a sports arena which gives an option to enjoy sports during college hours.
Faculty: The faculty is quite knowledgeable. They are professionals themselves, and their practical knowledge is of immense help to us. They tell us about their experience with the subject and in the industry, which mentally prepares us for the pool of students we will land into once we graduate.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) - Batch of 2027
Offered by Tara Devi Harakh Chand Kankaria Jain College

Average college with a nice infrastructure .
Placements: We didn’t get any companies coming in for placements. Just so you all know, it’s not like they promised us any placements in the first place. We got internships through the Calcutta University Summer Internship Programme. Overall, you will not get campus placements.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. We have Wi-Fi, but the college won’t give you the password; you will have to figure that part out on your own. You can ask a senior; most of us have the password. The classroom is big, and the library is good. Sports events, such as football and cricket, are available.
Faculty: The teachers are fine, but not very good. Their English is below average; even the English teachers use Hindi or Bengali. The college follows CU, so the course is more or less the same as any college providing B.Com (Hons). College exams are good, but the teachers are not that helpful.
Other: The campus looks good, and overall, THK Jain is a nice choice.

B. Com. (Hons.) in Accounting and Finance - Batch of 2024
Offered by Heramba Chandra College

It's best for Bengal, those who know Bengali can go for this college.
Placements: I don't know much about placements, but the college is good. The placement I guess you get from this college is around 1 to 1.5 LPA. Our class has 90 students, and the whole B.Com (Hons) department has about 500 students, so if you're lucky, you may get placed.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, but I don't know much about the hostel. The college provides Wi-Fi, but it doesn't work well as many students use it, around 200-300 students on average, so it's not very useful. The canteen is average, but the library and computer labs are good.
Faculty: The college organizes events and activities, including sports, games, and tournaments. It has a small campus where you can play cricket, football, badminton, and basketball. The college also has union rooms, and it is known for its anti-ragging policies.

B.Com. (Hons.) in Accounting and Finance - Batch of 2024
Offered by Maharani Kasiswari College

This college is overall good.
Placements: 60% of students get placed after the completion of the course. Top recruiting companies are Wipro, Genpact, and PwC. 50% of students were placed in these companies. B.Com students were placed at PwC as taxation managers, in Genpact as accountants, and many students were placed in other companies.
Infrastructure: In Maharani Kasiswari College, computer labs are available. Science labs are available, and the Wi-Fi connection is good. The classroom size is big, but it's a little bit dirty. The library is also available in this college. The canteen is not too good, but the gym is available. The college organizes sports competitions every year.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and very friendly to the students. Teachers talk very politely to the students and help them with completing assignments. The semester exams are not too difficult; students can easily pass the exams. The passing percentage of this college is 95%.
Other: B.Com is a good and easy course for me. The best subject in B.Com is accounts.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com. Hons.) - Batch of 2026
Offered by Goenka College of Commerce and Business Administration
2.6
2Placements2Infrastructure1Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Review of Goenka College of Commerce and Business Administration.
Placements: Very few companies visit our college for campus recruitment and only the cream layer gets recruited. Being in Kolkata, the package is not very extravagant; the median package lies somewhere between 1.8 and 3 LPA. Overall, a substantial number of students don't opt for campus recruitment .
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is severely lacking: dilapidated buildings, run-down architecture, lack of proper sanitation in toilets and the list goes on. It isn't as bad as the rest of the government colleges but it's not something to be proud of. But then again, it is justified looking at the fees.
Faculty: The professors here are decent; some of them are knowledgeable in their fields. However, a major problem with them is that they are too lazy and not punctual. At times, it's so frustrating. For example, out of the 4 classes, you will be lucky to attend 3 of them. The condition is so bad that the professors are absent most of the time without any prior notice, wasting the time of the students .
Other: The college fails to live up to its reputation. If you're interested in taking admission in this college, then please consider your choices appropriate; otherwise, it would be too late to turn back. The fee here is fairly cheap, which is a plus; however, other than that, there's no attractive proposition.
