Q:   Is CUSAT good for BTech?

A: 

BTech is one of the top courses of CUSAT. Talking about the curriculum, the university provides in-depth knowlege of BTech specialisation. The programme is quite affordable as compared to many of the good BTech offering universities. The total tuition fee for BTech ranges between INR 85,800 and INR 8.6 Lacs depending on the specialisation selected by the candidate.

    Good faculty members. Excellent infrastructure. Good placements.
    Placements: About my course: I took marine Biology. Passed out in 2022. More than 50% of students got placements. We can do internships in central government institutes like CMFRI, CMLRE, CIFT, etc. Ph.D. is also available there. Most of the students will be there even after their course as project assistants or research scholars.
    Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available. There is good infrastructure. Lab equipment is new and modern. Classrooms are excellent. All the facilities are available. In the hostel, too, all the facilities are good. In a library, there is a wide range of books. We can study them anytime we want.
    Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. They are always willing to clear doubts. They teach with modern technology, like using presentations. Exams are moderate. The pass percentage will be greater than 95%. Teachers are very helpful, especially in labs.

    A: 

    CUSAT admission to Integrated BSc-MSc programme is based on CUSAT CAT score. CUSAT CAT or Cochin University of Science and Technology Common Admission Test is a computer-based test conducted for shortlisting aspirants for admission to various courses. After completion of selection rounds, CUSAT releases a rank list based on total marks secured in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry subjects. A separate rank list is released for selected Integrated BSc-MSc specialisation. Based on the rank list, aspirants are called for counselling and document verification round.

    Q:   How many marks should I score in the CUSAT entrance exam to get admission in any stream?

    A: 

    Cochin University of Science and Technology admission to various courses is based on CUSAT CAT 2024 score. CUSAT CAT cutoff 2024 for Round 1 has been released across various specialisations in opening and closing ranks. According to CUSAT CAT Round 1 cutoff 2024, the candidate seeking admission to CUSAT must acquire a rank between, 3 and 205 under General AI category to get into CUSAT. Among all the courses, M.Sc. in Microbiology is the most competitive course, while the least competitive course is MCA in Cost Sharing.     Hello, the eligibility to study Masters in marine biology is to have bachelors degree in chemistry, zoology, botany, geography, geology, physiology, biochemistry and microbiology. You need to have the basics of the subject that are taught in the above mentioned subjects.
