The latest DU BSc placements statistics are not available as of now. As per theNIRF report 2024, out of 266 UG three-year students, 190 were placed. The median package offered was INR 5.5 LPA. Delhi University offers admission to its affiliated colleges through multiple entrance exams. DU University registrations via CUET usually begins in February every year. Soon after the release of the notification, the CUET application process commences online. At the undergraduate level, the University of Delhi offers BSc (Hons) across over 10 specialisations which offer merit-based admission to the students up until 2021. However, starting 2022, DU admission to all the UG courses are conducted via CUET UG. CUET-UG is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the NTA for admission to all undergraduate courses in various central universities, including the University of Delhi.

CUET scores are used for admission to both BSc (Hons) and BSc (General) programmes, weightage of which in the overall admission process varies as per the college and the course under DU. In addition to the CUET scores, DU colleges also consider other factors, such as the candidate's performance in Class 12 or equivalent exams, their extracurricular activities, and their interview performance.

CUET UG 2025 exam will be conducted tentatively in third week of May 2025. NTA will release the official notification for CUET UG exam date before the release of notification. Candidates will be able to know exam details through CUET UG information bulletin. NTA will conduct CUET UG 2025 exam in multiple phases depending upon the number of candidates registering for the exam. Registered candidates will know the exact CUET UG exam on release of the hall ticket. CUET UG 2025 exam will be a hybrid mode i.e., candidates will have to report at the alloted exam centre on the day of the examination. The exam will be held in two to three slots each day depending upon the subject combinations chosen by the candidate.

DU was recently ranked #328 in the 'University' category by QS World Ranking 2025 and 11 by NIRF in 2023. The university is not ranked for any major course such as BSc, however, it consistently gets ranked for the 'University' category by NIRF over the past years. Delhi University offer BSc through its colleges that are situated in different parts of Delhi. The atmosphere/life of a student can vary depending upon the location of the college, whether it is a off campus college or in the north/south campus. Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2025 registration will commence in the first week of February 2025. NTA will release the CUET 2025 notification. Candidates willing to appear for the CUET 2025 exam must ensure that they fill out the application form online. CUET 2025 registration will end in the first week of April 2025. Further to the last date, candidates will not be able to fill out the CUET application form. No request for extension of CUET registration until the last date will be entertained.

Before filling out the application form, candidates must ensure they fulfil the prescribed CUET eligibility criteria to qualify for the entrance exam. 

The total tuition fee for BSc courses at DU-affiliated colleges ranges between INR 540 and INR 2.4 lakh. This variation is available due to the different specialisations that are offered at different DU affiliated colleges.

Yes, CUET application fee was revised in 2024. The CUET registration fee will be updated on release of the CUET notification. Earlier, CUET application fee was revised with the reduction on choice of subjects for CUET exam. NTA will commence CUET UG 2024 registrations at cuetug-ac.ntaonline.in.. Candidates will be able to know the revised fee, exam pattern and important dates on release of CUET 2024 notification at cuet.samarth.ac.in.

The eligibility criteria for pursuing BSc from DU is as follows:

• Pass in Class 12 or equivalent exam
• A valid score in the CUET (Common University Entrance Test).
• The candidate must be a citizen of India
• The candidate must have not crossed the age of 25 years on the first day of the academic session

The CUET (Common University Entrance Test) - UG exam accepted by DU is a national-level entrance exam that is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate courses in various central universities, including DU. The scores of CUET are used for admission to both BSc (Hons) and BSc (General) courses in DU.

In addition to the above, some DU-affiliated colleges could have additional eligibility criteria, such as a minimum age limit or a requirement for a set percentage of marks in certain subjects.
