Overall, a good university.
Placements: 0% of students were placed. No package was offered. No recruiting companies were affiliated with the university. More than 25% of students got internships in private companies. The roles offered were production, shift in charge, processing, and technologist.
Infrastructure: The facilities of the hostel are very poor, as the buildings are very old and not maintained. The infrastructure of the hostel is very bad; the rooms are small, and the washrooms are never clean. The buildings for the department are average, and new buildings are under construction.
Faculty: A few of the teachers, faculty members, and mentors were very helpful and knowledgeable. They really helped us develop our skills, knowledge, and awareness. Some of the courses were really helpful and do help us in our day-to-day tasks and jobs. The examination is conducted on a regular basis.
Other: There are a lot of courses and levels offered at the university. One can choose between a lot of degrees. A better infrastructure would help the university develop better.

Placements fantasize me a lot and boost up for making my future better.
Placements: Around 40–50 percent of students get placed every year. The highest package is around 8–9 lacs (exceptionally 12–13 lacs sometimes). The lowest is about 2–3 LPA. There are many recruiters like Haldiram, etc. Almost every student gets three courses in the fifth semester, followed by the seventh semester, and optionally, the eighth semester.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is above average or we may say it is good. The library is fully air-conditioned and has a great Wi-Fi connection. One may easily abuse it with an ID and password. Lots of books are available according to courses. hostel is well maintained and an average-rated diet is available. Sports Complex is there to play games like volleyball, throwball, basketball, running track, chess, badminton, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They teach us in a logical and easily understandable manner. The course curriculum is highly relevant and makes a great base for them. Semester exams are of a nice level and the passing percentage is 40%.
Other: I chose food technology as it is an emerging subject and has a great scope, as food is the ultimate thing we need to survive. Related events are organized on campus and overall, it's all fun.

I am satisfied with our faculty because they are very helpful to students.
Placements: Almost 80% of students got placed in our branch in the previous year. The highest salary package offered is 6 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA. The average salary package offered ranges from 3 LPA-4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Daawat, ITC, and Hindustan Unilever. Internships are also offered by our department.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is like NITs and some IITs. The fee structure is not much high according to the teaching quality and infrastructure. Classrooms and labs are well-equipped. The quality of the food served is average. A cafeteria is also available. Sports and games are held from time to time.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful to students. They are well educated, qualified, and knowledgeable. The course contains various activities and an extra curriculum. Teachers make students industry-ready. Semester exams are not much difficult. The pass percentage is similar to the other colleges.

This university is good enough, but there is less placement in core branches.
Placements: Guru Jambheshwar University has the 3rd best placement. This year, 60 percent of the total students in the 2024 batch were placed in Haldiram, and the rest went on to further higher studies. The best placement is in printing technology and the CSE branch.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good at this university, and it is a very sustainable and green environment. The hostel is good and very affordable (10,800 rupees per year), and in one room, there are four students and a table-maze wardrobe. Wi-Fi reading hall, gym, etc.
Faculty: B. Tech food technology has its own department in which there is the best faculty, and we learn about the machinery required in food production. The 1st year is hard for all departments, but after the 1st year, all three years are not that hard, but students have to take practical knowledge also.
Other: There are many clubs and many events going on from time to time; there is a scholarship for backward students annually, and the festival is going on yearly.

Q:   Is GJUST a government or a private university?

A:

Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology earlier known as Guru Jambheshwar University was established as a state university by an Act of the Legislature of the State of Haryana in 1995. Being a state university, the fee for various undergraduate and postgraduate courses is not very high. Even if the candidates feel that the fee is high, they can apply for the various scholarships offered by the university to the eligible candidates. A limited number of scholarships are available so apply early as soon as possible.

Q:   Is MCA at GJUST worth the investment?

A:
{Source: MCA students & alumni}

Here's a summary of the key points:

* Teaching Quality: Most teachers were helpful, but 23 out of 50 were rude. Teaching quality was okay, and the course curriculum was up-to-date. However, semester exams were average, and online studies during COVID-19 were challenging.
* Placements: 30% of students got placed, with the highest package being INR6 LPA and the lowest being INR2.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies included Quinbay and Cloud Certitude. A significant number of students faced difficulties due to the mismanagement of placements caused by COVID-19.
* Infrastructure: The hostel was good, with facilities such as Wi-Fi, clean water, and clean floors. The canteen was nearby, but food quality was not great. Students who did not live in hostels preferred to eat outside. The library was vast, and classrooms were well-maintained.
* Campus Life: The campus was lively, with many events organized, including visits by famous personalities. Scholarship processes could be improved.

Overall, while MCA at GJUST may not be perfect, it still offers a good educational experience. Here are the pros and cons to consider:

Pros:

* Good teaching quality (except for a few teachers)
* Up-to-date course curriculum
* Decent placements
* Well-maintained infrastructure

Cons:

* Rude teachers (minority)
* Average semester exams
* Mismanagement of placements during COVID-19
* Limited recruitment opportunities
* Food quality issues in the canteen
* Needs improvement in scholarship processes

If you're considering pursuing MCA at GJUST, weigh these factors carefully before making an informed decision.
