IPU BSc Eligibility & Highlights 2024

IPU BSc is a full-time programme offered across five specialisations. The University also offers a BSc (Hons) Nursing programme for unmarried female candidates and is of four years duration. Also, while BSc Yoga, MLT, MIT and MTR programmes are offered for three years, BSc Nursing (Post-Basic) is a two-year programme. Candidates willing to seek admission to any of the BSc programmes at IPU need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria and appear for IPU CET.

Admission to BSc (Hons) Nursing is carried out via NEET UG. However, the seat allotment process for both BSc/ BSc (Hons) programmes to the affiliated colleges of GGSIPU is carried out via IPU CET Counselling as per the preferences of candidates. IP University BSc Admission 2024: How to Apply?

Admission to the BSc course of IPU is entrance-based followed by a counselling round. The accepted exams are CUET/IPU CET. For student's reference, the complete IP University admission process is explained below:

STEP 1: IP University BSc Application Process 2024

The step-wise IP University application process is represented below, candidates seeking admission can apply online by paying an application fee of INR 1,200.

Step 1.1: Visit the official website of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (www.ipu.ac.in) and click on the 'Admission' tab and further click on 'Online Admission Form' from the drag-down menu.

Step 1.2: Read the instructions carefully, accept the declaration and click on 'Start' to proceed with the registration step of the application process.

Step 1.3: Select BSc/ BSc (Hons) from the programme drop-down menu and register with the candidate's name, email ID and contact number. Further, click on 'CET' courses for BSc and click on 'Non-CET' for BSc (Hons).

Step 1.4: Candidates will receive an application sequence number, user ID and password for future logins and a link to the application form to proceed with further steps.

Step 1.5: In the first stage of the application form, enter personal details, such as name, parents' name, age, nationality, etc. Also, enter the present address information along with the permanent address.

Step 1.6: Fill in the essential qualification details, including the year of passing and the school/ institution attended. Also, enter details around NEET UG score, if applying for BSc (Hons).

Step 1.7: Upload the required set of documents and pay the prescribed application fee via debit card/ credit card/ net banking.

Candidates need to upload the scanned copies of the below-mentioned documents while filling IPU application form in online mode:

Class 12 mark sheet
Date of birth certificate
Caste/ category certificate
Candidate's passport-size photograph

STEP 2: Selection

In this step, the applications are shortlisted based on applicants' scores in IPU CET/CUET. A merit/cutoff list is released by the university to declare the names of selected students.

STEP 3: Admission Confirmation

Students who meet the cutoff criteria need to participate in counselling for seat allotment. The documents need to be submitted and the fee has to be paid for seat confirmation. IPU BSc tuition fees range between INR 2.1 lakh and INR 4.19 lakh. Additionally, the hostel fee ranges between INR 1.76 lakh and INR 2.29 lakh. The step-by-step process for GGSIPU application form filling are as follows:

Step 1: GGSIPU carries out application procedure for its affiliated colleges through a centralised applicaion portal. Candidates can access the portal by visiting the IPU official website.

Step 2: Candidates must read all the instructions carefully before clicking on "Start" to proceed with the registration.

Step 3: Then enter the desired course details and register by entering the asked details. In this step, applicants have to choose whether they are applying for CET or Non-CET courses.

CUET application fee varies from category to category and the number of subjects chosen by the candidate for CUET. The CUET registration process is incomplete without the payment of application fee.

Q: Will there be any correction window for IPU CET application form?

It is strongly recommended that students exercise caution while filling out the IPU CET application form. There is no correction window after submitting the application form. If any necessary corrections such as the date of birth, spelling errors in the applicant's name or parent's name, or choice of category for reservation, candidates will need to submit a physical application request specifically for the purpose of correction.

IPU BSc Cutoff 2024

The GGSIPU cutoff list 2024 is released for each course admission. Aspirants who meet the cutoff criteria become eligible for admission. Dissatisfied with the higher officials and facilities for low placements.

Placements: There is a 1-year internship in the course. But the placements are a little low because the course is new and started 4 years ago. There are seats that should be given to eligible students but jobs are given to low-grade workers in order to give them a low salary and keep the government fund for themselves.

Infrastructure: There are very well developed classrooms and auditoriums for classes and conferences . Practical exposure is very high. The price of mess is very reasonable . Medical facilities are provided to each and every student . There is special relief in medicines for the students.

Faculty: Very experienced professors are available for teaching and are very helpful . Semester exams are of good level . The quality of teaching is top notch and one of the best all over the country. The administrative officials are very strict in order to make the students work hard .

Other: Placement of this course is a little low and colleges should work on it and give more importance to students well-being.

Exposure-wise, this college is the best.

Placements: Your placement depends entirely on your capability to clear exams like NORCET for government positions. For private placements, with the name of this college, you can expect to earn around 15-20k. The college mainly provides a good name for your degree.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is the best, as it's the largest and most reputed college after AIIMS Delhi in the entire city. The college hospital and its buildings are spread over a huge area, offering ample exposure. Additionally, the college is located in Asari Nagar West, which is in South Delhi.

Faculty: The teachers are nice and humble, and they cooperate well and consider reasonable grievances. Overall, the faculty is average. However, a few teachers may behave rudely, but since they are few, it's manageable.

Other: This college doesn't have a bond, so if you want to attempt NEET again, you can opt for this as a backup.

Infrastructure: Two students share a room. First preference is given to outsiders for accommodation, and then Delhi students are given priority. Mess is available, but there is no canteen. There are no playgrounds for various activities. Classrooms are well maintained.

Faculty: Our teachers are knowledgeable and qualified. One should study well for an overall academic result to pass the semester exam. Our teachers focus on clinical-based teaching with theory portion. Clinical hours are posted so students get well-trained in their respective fields.

Other: Our course intake is 25. You have to qualify for the online computer-based examination of IPU CET to get admission to this course. This course provides an opportunity to work with amputated patients and patients with deformities. In this course, you will learn how different machines and tools are used. It is a very advanced course in which you can learn about a device made according to patients' needs. If you want to be in the medical field where you want to learn theory, on that basis, perform practicals and opt for BPO. Our college conducts various activities like annual days, etc. We have many sports activities and workshops to attend.

Placements: Maximum number of seats available in the BPO course is 25. You can get admission through the online exam, IPU CET of GGSIPU. You will get the opportunity to make devices for the amputated patients and orthosis for their deformity. There are internship programs for the students.

Infrastructure: The entire institute is fully air-conditioned. It provides well-furnished rooms for the students. There is a separate library for the students to read books regarding their courses. We have computer labs. Washrooms are easily accessible for the physically-disabled and the infrastructure of the entire institute is wheelchair-friendly.

Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified and experienced. The time period of this course is 4 years and 6 months in which six months is for internship. Physiotherapy in PGIMER.

Placements: Every year, 15 students enrol in the course. Internships last four and a half years, with four years of study followed by six months of internship. Every month, students receive a stipend of 500 rupees. Internships are available at the institute in a variety of wards and departments. Clinical trials work best here.

Infrastructure: There are no proper hostel facilities for students. Canteens are good, and food quality is adequate. A sports complex is available for sports activities. As the best medical institute after AIIMS Delhi, it offers a wide range of medical services.

Faculty: The teaching faculty is excellent, but more personnel are required. The course is curriculum relevant, and it brings out the best in students. It is not difficult to pass university exams if one studies well. The faculty is well-versed, and you can learn a lot from them in clinicals.
