Frequently Asked Questions

Q:   Can I get direct admission in GGSIPU?

A:

No, the university does not offer direct admissions. IP University does not allow any of the affiliated colleges/institutes/agency to grant direct admission to any of the course of the university. Hence, the university is not responsible for any amount deposited or paid by the candidate directly to the affiliated colleges/institutes of GGSIPU. Candidates are also advised to not share their User ID or Username and the login password with anyone for safety purposes.

Q:   Is B.A. LL.B. (Hons) at GGSIPU worth the investment?

A:
{Source: B.A. LL.B. (Hons) students & alumni}

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary:

* Placement Cell: The placement cell is active, but placements are not very encouraging. Most students opt for individual advocacy or small law firms, offering average salaries ranging from INR3-INR4 Lacs per annum. Top roles offered are those of a legal associate, with some students securing internships with renowned law firms.
* Faculty: Teachers are generally knowledgeable, but some may lack enthusiasm. The permanent faculty members are helpful and supportive, while guest lecturers from the field bring valuable industry experience.
* Infrastructure: The college has modern infrastructure, including air-conditioned classrooms, a dedicated law library, and Wi-Fi-enabled premises. Hostels are comfortable, with single occupancy rooms and decent food facilities.
* Extracurricular Activities: The college organizes various events, fests, and seminars, providing opportunities for students to develop their skills and interests.
* Campus Life: The campus is lively, with a mix of students from diverse backgrounds. The location in Sector 16, Dwarka, is convenient, with easy access to public transportation and amenities.

However, some concerns were raised regarding:

* Teaching Pedagogy: Some students felt that the teaching method was traditional and lacked innovation, making learning less engaging.
* Curriculum: While the curriculum is relevant, some students believed it didn't prepare them adequately for the industry.
* Internship Opportunities: Although some students secured internships, others reported limited opportunities and irregularity in payment structures.

Overall, whether or not the B.A. LL.B. (Hons) programme at GGSIPU is "worth the investment" depends on individual goals and expectations. For those seeking a strong theoretical foundation and willing to pursue individual advocacy or smaller law firms, the programme may be suitable. However, for those looking for higher-paying jobs or extensive internship opportunities, alternative options may be more beneficial.

Not very satisfied campus crowd and internship. But good infrastructure and faculty.
Placements: Placements are good but they don't promise 100% placements. Salary offered is satisfactory for starting. But there are no internships provided by the college which is a huge drawback because as yoga students we need some experience to conduct classes or take therapeutic classes.
Infrastructure: Facilities such as library, medical room, labs, canteen are available in campus. But no proper classrooms as yoga practical rooms are there mostly. So students sometimes have to sit on floor instead of desk. Food in the canteen is also average, very less variety in food. No proper hostels are provided by college. Washrooms are not good in infrastructure.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and offers good quality teaching. PPTs are used or through white boards teaching is done. 1:20 is faculty student ratio. But there is no outdoor exposure, no outings are done. Course curriculum is useful as semester wise subjects are changed and every subject is given importance.
Other: College conducts a programme at the end of every month. There are events, fest, and some sports activities occasionally. But no proper space for outdoor sports.
