Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) - Batch of 2025

Experience of a B.Com student in HITS Padur.
Placements: In this college, I opted for a course called B.Com IIP, which is unique in this college. In the sixth semester of this course, we don't have to write exams; instead, we can go for an internship and should get a certificate for degree certification. The company has only least placement opportunities, which they don't show any interest in for placements. Only the faculty members are taking efforts on placement and internship opportunities.
Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure, with blocks like Edison, Jubilee, and the main block, and also a new block under construction. It has a big library, which is very neat and spacious with lots of books that we can also borrow freely. There is a hostel for both boys and girls separately with A/C or non-A/C options.
Faculty: Some teachers are very knowledgeable and also help in other non-educational activities and guide for career growth. But some faculty members are very poor and inattentive and also poor in English. The semester exams are very easy, and they provide important questions for the exams, which makes us study effectively.
Other: I chose B.Com because of the high value potential of commerce graduates in fields like marketing, finance, and business. But this college is not much good for commerce (basically arts and science); it focuses and has high value in areas like aeronautical engineering, fashion designing, etc.

B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2027
3.8
4Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
Best college to enjoy college life and also to get some knowledge and certificates.
Placements: The placement will be above average. My seniors have been placed for 10 LPA to 15 LPA, and most of them for an average of 4 LPA to 5 LPA. There are some top recruiting companies like IBM and also some aeronautical-related companies for CSE. Many students also go for internships in IIT, NIT, and IIT Madras.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are average in infrastructure. The hostels are good and maintained clean. Food is also good, and the sports are more in the campus. More OD will also be given for the students to invest their time in their extra-curricular activities.
Faculty: The teachers are good at teaching, top faculty, and friendly. The examination is also easy; mostly, all of them pass, and it is easy to score in all the subjects. The faculty is good at teaching and also friendly with students, so they make it easy for most students to pass.
Other: The college is good and best for freedom and a student-friendly campus. That’s the main reason for a joyful college life.

The worst South Indian college to take admission in.
Placements: Around 20% of students got placed with an average salary package of 2 LPA - 3 LPA. The placement team is very bad. They don't bring any good core companies. They don't provide any placement training. It is the worst. Companies offer internships and provide contact-based roles. There is nothing permanent. Core students are offered IT sector jobs.
Infrastructure: Labs were pretty good, but no such experienced faculty to teach and use the tools to educate.
Faculty: Teaching staff members were the worst. They are biased toward the South Indian language. They don't teach in English. They ask us to learn Tamil or Telegu but in our college, we are supposed to learn our native language or our course of study. They used to talk in their native language. Teachers just provide notes and don't explain anything. Before exams, they provide some sets of questions and ask to prepare them. Questions will come from this.
Other: Fests were pathetic only South Indian stars visited and their songs are played in our college. There is much racism for North Indian students.

A short story on Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science.
Placements: Above 85% to 90% of students are placed, with salaries ranging from six lakhs to twenty-two lakhs per annum. Companies like IBM and Microsoft are among the top recruiters. More than forty percent of the students secure internships, with some being hired by major companies like Porsche. Some of the top roles include Programmer, Coder, and others.
Infrastructure: Good, but old-fashioned infrastructure. Wifi is available, classes are flexible, and the library is excellent. Food is good, and nicely maintained canteens are there. Sports amenities are really good. Can conduct more sports events to improve. Badminton courts can be built and clubs should be formed.
Faculty: Teachers are really good. Quality is above standards. Professors are very friendly and lenient. But a little bit strict too. Overall, it will make you well equipped for the industry. The semester exams are a little bit difficult. But if you start from day one, it is not hard.
Other: AIML is the future. More basic introduction and interactive session should be conducted. Grand events, extracurricular activities, sports events, etc. are organized.

Good college, and better infrastructure is available.
Placements: Approximately 85 percent of students were placed in our college with a good salary package of 11.5 lakhs per annum and a lowest salary package of 3 lakhs per annum. Many recruiting companies like Deloitte, Wipro, TCS, and IBM have visited our college. A few students got internships outside of college.
Infrastructure: Better infrastructure and facilities are available in our college, like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, departments, and a library. Food is available in the hostel, and medical facilities are also available. The mess and canteen are very clean and hygienic, and sports and games are conducted.
Faculty: The faculty is very good and has good knowledge and experience. The teaching quality is excellent, which makes students industry-ready. Our course is curriculum-relevant. Exams are very easy; we have to study daily. The passing percentage is 50 percent of the marks.

Overall, the college is okay, but the infrastructure is bad. No one takes care of the students.
Placements: The placements are not good and the packages are also poor. No good companies visit for hiring, they need to tie up with more companies. The highest package offered is very low and the lowest package is obviously very low. Overall, the placements are not good.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not good, it’s just okay. It is an old college which was established in 1985 and now the infrastructure in some of the blocks is not good, it needs to some changes and repairs. Overall, the infrastructure of college is fine but some blocks need changes.
Faculty: The one good thing in this college is it's faculty. They are very talented and have a lot of experience. Especially the aeronautical faculty is very good compared to the other departments of our college.
Other: They need to change the infrastructure and take care of the students.
