The total course fee is a cumulative of multiple components such as tuition fee, medical fees, transport fees, etc. IIT Delhi PhD tuition fee for full-time course is INR 7,500 per semester. In addition, PhD (part-time/sponsored) programmes is INR 17,500. The hostel fee for PhD candidates is INR 13,250. Some other fee such as students distress fund scheme (each semester) of INR 400 and insurance scheme (yearly) fee of INR 500 may also be added in the fee. IIT Delhi PhD applications are invited twice a year in March and October and subsequently, the admissions are carried out in May and December. The minimum duration for MTech candidates pursuing PhD programme is two years, whereas for BTech candidates it is three years. Also, all the candidates are allowed a maximum of seven years for the submission of their thesis.
