Placements: My college, Maritime Training Institute has 100% placement. It is affiliated to the Indian Maritime University. The placements are sponsored by Shipping Corporation of India Limited (sole government shipping company). 70% of the shipping fraternity belongs to MTI.
Placements: Actually, I studied in Maritime Training Institute, Powai which is managed by Navratna company Shipping Corporation of India. Mti-Science university campus is Indian maritime University Chennai. The students who studied in MTI-SCIall get placement in Shipping Corporation of India. But you have to top-ranked in Indian maritime University CET exams, and then you can get Science- MTI.
Placements: I am a student of this college, and I assure you that the college provides 100% placements. Good companies visit the college to conduct placements. The companies visiting the college select many students. One of the top companies like Mediterranean Shipping and Maersk visit the college.
Placements: The placement is available but waiting period for the ship is about more than 2 years that is the only problem, but after one or two years, everyone will get the ship in the executive ship management company. There is a chance to get the ship in British Petroleum also where they also give placement for toppers.
Placements: The college is good for the placements. Mostly, the students who are doing Diploma in nautical science are already paced by the company, and the company itself give the institution for the course but must have to pass the final exams in order not to lose his/his job.
Placements: IMI is only a single college in North India who conduct marine engineering. It is the best option for those who are near to Delhi NCR. In my batch 40 students are there out of 30 students are placed, rest are all got placement by it took time. My senior batches around 70% got campus placement, and junior batches got 100%. This college growth year by year in term of placements. IMI collaborate with some of the biggest companies like. MEARSK LINE M.Sc. FLEET MANAGEMENT. PACIFIC INTERNATIONAL LINE ...
Placements: In this good institute of the merchant navy, every student gets sponsored by different foreign companies as like Dynacom Tankers from Greece, Pacific International Lines from Singapore and much more. Our seniors get 100% results. Companies take interviews in which they ask questions from physics, maths, general knowledge and mostly, every student gets sponsored. Companies which come here mostly have a stipend ranging from 500$ to 1200$.
Placements: There is a company sponsorship of executive ship management (ESM). 100% placements are there on completing the course. British Petroleum does the recruitment if you are eligible but ESM is confirmed. If you have a craze for the merchant navy, then this institute is good. The 1-year GME course is a short course to absorb the knowledge with good training at the ship-in campus in the last 6 months. The first 6 months are for the classroom programme.
Placements: Good with respect to other government colleges but not as good as the private colleges because private colleges have the MoU with some company. No internship is offered by the college. There are many companies which visit during campusing. Mostly, they join the ship as fifth engineer or trainee engineer.
Placements: The placement of my senior batch was quite good. 20 out of 34 students got placed in shipping companies like Essar (12), Dockndale (3), Fleet Management (3) and Selandia (2). Shipping Corporation of India is yet to visit our campus and is expected to hire the remaining 14 students. The minimum salary is Rs. 1.3 lacs per month and the maximum is Rs. 1.5 lacs per month. The average salary is Rs. 1.45 lacs per month. The students placed in various companies would undergo a six months onboard traini...
Placements: The placement condition is brilliant here. Almost 80% students get their company through campus and remaining 20% off campus. Foreign companies like FML, NYK and Indian companies like Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) visit the campus regularly and recruit the eligible cadets. The approximate salary a cadet gets during training period varies from $400-$800 or even more. Also, scholarly students can avail scholarship easily based on their rank.
Placements: Actually the placement was good at our college. when I completed my college that time the placement percentage was an 74% in my memory is correct totally 1184 students were placed in year.the maximum stipend was 4,80,000 p.a on the company offered in McKenzie the lowest stipend is 1,20,000.in India the major companies are came at our college like Infosys, wipro, TCS, cts, Accenture, Oracle...etc they mainly selected for an IT filed only in that they can selected voice or non voice, bpo, it,finan...
The college formerly known as National Maritime Academy is one of the seven legacy institutes that became as IMU in 2008. The college has fine infrastructure with all basic amenities needed for training cadets. The new 300 acre campus is under construction which will make it the Asia's largest campus. The campus has second largest simulator in the country after the navy.
Formerly known as National Maritime Academy, established in 1983 is the headquarters of IMU. With the aim of opening in all the coastal states of the country, Ministry of shipping is doing a fine job. IMU Chennai has the second best simulator control room after Indian Navy. It is the oldest marine college of India opened by our Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru in year 1949 and is a Central Government College. Earlier it was affiliated to Jadavpur University but in year 2008 it came under Indian maritime university. Placements: The placements at HIMT are way better than rest of the institute, In my batch nearly 85% are placed in various reputed companies like Synergy, Western Shipping, VR Maritime, Wallem, Feet Management, M.Sc. and D'Amico Shipping etc. Efforts put on by the management regarding the placements are appreciable, and they are reason behind all our success.
