A:
{Source: M.E./M.Tech students & alumni}

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

Pros:
* Campus life is great, with many clubs, sporting grounds, and facilities.
* Faculty members are generally experienced and knowledgeable.
* Research opportunities and seminars are organized regularly.
* Hostel facilities are available for girls and boys, although the condition may vary.

Cons:
* Curriculum is outdated and redundant, leading to limited job prospects.
* Placements for M.Tech (CSE) are poor, and students often struggle to find jobs.
* Teachers may lack qualifications in M.Tech and prioritize theoretical over practical learning.
* Facilities such as drinking water, canteen food, and washrooms need improvement.
* High expectations regarding grades and attendance can lead to stress.

Considering these points, while YMCA University may have some strengths, the overall experience seems to be mixed. Students may face challenges finding suitable employment due to the outdated curriculum and poor placements. However, those interested in research or wanting to gain hands-on experience may still consider attending the institution. Ultimately, it depends on individual priorities and goals.

Q:   Is YMCA University good for M.Sc.?

A:
{Source: M.Sc. students & alumni}

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's what we've gathered:

* Infrastructure: The university has a good infrastructure, with well-equipped laboratories, comfortable classrooms, and a decent library.
* Faculty: Teachers are generally helpful, knowledgeable, and supportive. They guide students not just in academics but also for career growth and entrances like GATE or CSIR NET.
* Course Curriculum: The curriculum is relevant, and the syllabus is designed well. However, some students felt that it could be more challenging.
* Examinations: Semester exams are considered moderate to difficult, but with good preparation, students can achieve good grades.
* Placement: While most students praised the placement record for B.Tech and MBA students, the situation was different for M.Sc. students. About 30% of students got placed, but mostly in low-paying jobs.
* Research Opportunities: Unfortunately, internships were not available in the M.Sc. program.
* Career Growth: Although the placement scenario wasn't ideal, students believed that the quality education and research opportunities prepared them well for further studies or careers.

In summary, while YMCA University has its strengths, particularly in terms of infrastructure and faculty, the M.Sc. programme seems to have limitations in terms of placement and research opportunities. It's essential for aspiring students to weigh these factors carefully when considering the university for their higher education.

Please note that these observations are based on a compilation of students' and alumni's reviews and might not represent the entire experience.

Life at ACEM. It is not the worse.
Placements: Placements are only for students with no backlogs and a CGPA of 7.0 or higher in previous semesters. The top companies that visited the campus were Zomato, Infosys, Zepto, TCL, etc. The average package was around INR 10,000 per month. The roles offered in my course were mostly web developer positions.
Infrastructure: The classrooms at this college are quite large, but the benches and seating arrangements are just average. The campus has Wi-Fi, but it doesn't work most of the time, so we will have to use our own data plan. There is a canteen on campus where we can hang out and eat with our friends.
Faculty: The curriculum of the courses at YMCA University is relevant to the field, but it includes some extra subjects like English (ecc, wsr), and EVs (1,2), which are not relevant to the course. Semester exams are something we have to study for, and they are designed so that we can fail if we don't take them seriously.

College is very good but cannot be considered excellent.
Placements: Nearly 85% of students are placed last year from JC Bose University, Faridabad (YMCA), in Computer Engineering. The highest salary package in CSE offered was 45 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Google, Amazon, Adobe, and Flipkart. Students with a CGPA above 8.5 are eligible.
Infrastructure: Whole campus is Wi-Fi equipped, and classrooms are fully ventilated, although classroom conditions are not very good. Mess and canteen are newly built, and food quality is good. Hostels are not provided for boys and girls, but faculty members are provided with first-class hostels.
Faculty: Faculty members are experienced, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. They take care of every student and ensure that students study attentively. Workshops are held every month, making students job-oriented. Exams are not very difficult.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of faculty, bad placement, bad infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: 10 percent of the students were placed in local companies. The highest package is 5 LPA, the average is 2 LPA, and the lowest is 1.5 LPA. Top companies are not coming to college. The college and any company have not offered any internships at this college. The top roles offered are software engineer and web developer.
Infrastructure: The facilities of this college are average; no special facilities are provided by the college. Hostels are available at this college, AC or non-AC. The quality of food is not good and other facilities are below average. The mess is very bad. The canteen is not available at this college.
Faculty: Teachers are average. Teaching quality is below average. The semester exams are very difficult. Students qualifying for the semester exam are 10 percent. The course curriculum is not relevant, and students are not ready for industry-level. Labs are not good for skills learning.
Other: If you are a self-learner, you will achieve your dream job. Scholarships are available for SC and ST students.

Placements, location, faculty, and infrastructure are good.
Placements: In our course, around 95% of students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA. Overall good college for B.Tech. Admission is based on JEE Main rank, as it's a Haryana State Government University. CSE here is the best and the placement package is also good if you don't get into any NIT and IIT.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, and a library are available. The infrastructure is good. Classrooms are well-maintained. Hostel is only limited. The campus is small spreading only 20 acres. The college provides free bus services up to 150 km. The hostel is only available for girls as of now.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and supportive. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not that difficult, approximately all students can pass. The B.Tech is worth of money. Facilities they provide are enough for a student to study properly, there's no need to worry about semester exams.

Amazing infrastructure and facilities at JCBUST.
Placements: The placement record for my course (B.Sc.) is not so good as compared to the other courses (B.Tech, BBA, BCA, B.Com, etc.) offered by the university. As far as I know, very few or no students from the previous batch, i.e., 2023, got placed in any company from my course. However, according to past years' records, few students got a placement with an average package of 2.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: My department is a nine-story building with separate floors for different courses (B.Sc. Mathematics, Physics, Environmental Science, Multimedia, etc.) also with well-maintained computer labs and well-equipped physics and chemistry labs. A Wi-Fi facility is also available for all the students (not open Wi-Fi). Two splendid libraries (separate for reading and writing work) with a seating capacity of 100+ students are available to access at any time. Students can issue as many books as they need with their college ID card. Being a day scholar, I am unaware of the hostel facilities; however, there is a mess for day scholars too where we can get a full one-time meal at an affordable price of just 15 to 20 rupees with a huge variety of food each day. Many sports facilities are also available for students to build their physical fitness, such as 2 synthetic badminton courts, table tennis tables, a basketball court, kabbadi mats, etc.
Faculty: The faculty members at my college are highly qualified, with most holding PhDs in their respective fields. They are not only knowledgeable but also friendly and approachable, often sharing valuable life lessons along with academic guidance. While most of the professors are polite, there are few who may come across as strict or unusual. Overall, the faculty dedication helps create a good learning atmosphere. The course curriculum is relevant and set in such a way that it doesn't feel difficult for students; extracurricular activities like Vedic Maths seminars/presentation delivery are also taught. The exams are conducted 3 times: 2 sessional and the final end semester with an external practical and viva. The difficulty level of the tests is medium and moderate.
Other: The college organizes events and competitions regularly for the students; however, there have not been any big events inviting celebrities or singers, which makes it quite boring for students who like parties and all, but there are many educational programs such as expert lectures with IIT professors, professors from abroad, and cultural and religious programs inviting big personalities. The college is situated on the highway, making it easier for day scholars to reach the college. Talking about the surroundings, the college is surrounded by a few factories, which make the environment polluted, making this the major concern for students health, but steps are being taken to stop the pollution mission by factories by the students and faculty members.

It is an okay college and the location is good for correspondence courses.
Placements: A very low percentile of students from our course get placements that are too far from here in Gurgaon or such so some opt not to go. The highest package is 5 lacs, and the lowest is 3 lacs. Internships are offered to about 60% of the students. HR is the most common role offered .
Infrastructure: On average, every necessary thing is present, from labs to seminar halls and canteens but again, everything, including the library, is very average. The medical facilities are also okay; they offer to take you to the nearest Amrita hospital but you are not given attendance when something like this happens. Sports like basketball, football, badminton and sports rooms are present, including carrom, table tennis and more. It is also sufficient—nothing special.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are qualified; they are also very experienced and kind. Some are because they know how hard college life is. Yes, most of the course curriculum is relevant, about 70–75%. It includes courses like Advanced Excel, which somehow makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams are provided by the university so it is pretty tough and definitely not easy. The passing percentage is 35/100, which is very low but some people still fail because, again, the exams are not easy.
Other: I chose this course because it is easier than the rest. It teaches me more in depth about business. Improvement should revolve around practical knowledge, not bookish knowledge. Events are also average tents placed in the ground near the stage. Crowding is also okay, not bad, in my opinion. Fest was horrible this year but last year was okay.

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.
