To be eligible to pursue MTech at Jadavpur University, a candidate must have passed BTech or equivalent graduation degree in relevant stream from a recognised institute/university with a minimum of 45% aggregate. For SC/ST candidates, the minimum aggregate required is 40%. Hence, a candidate scoring less than 50% but more than 45% (40% for SC/ST candidates) in bachelor's degree is eligible to apply for MTech admission at Jadavpur University. Cut-off Details

Jadavpur University offers fee waivers in the form of full and half freeships to needy and meritorious students who cannot afford their fees. The scholarships are offered on the basis of recommendations of departments. A maximum of 10 percent of students is covered under the full freeship scheme. The University also offers stipends on a means-cum-merit basis. Around 80 stipends are distributed among the needy and meritorious students out of which one-fourth is for the first-year students.
