Review of National Institute of Technology, Durgapur.

Placements: Since biotechnology is a research-based subject, the core placement statistics of our department are not as good as other departments. However, the majority of students get placed in various companies in coding, management and HR positions. Other students prepare for GATE or CAT exams.

Campus life is good with all facilities for students comfort.

Placements: Students with a good CGPA and skills can easily get jobs in good companies, but even if CGPA isn't the criteria, then some coding skills and a stronghold over the subject is needed to grab an average placement. Placement is easy. Interning companies are very good, and there is no such issue in getting any job or placements. Skilled students get it. Girls have more advantage to it as they have reserved seats for girls. The only thing is to have a good CGPA to clear the criteria of the companies.

Campus life is good with placements depending on the way you prepare.

Placements: Most of the students from the CSE stream get placed in top-notch companies like Microsoft, Amazon, JPMC and others being amongst the recruiters. It gets a bit hard for the core departmental students, but the number of companies visiting has gone up by a decent amount in recent times. Around 80-85% of the students are getting placed, and the rest of them are opting for higher studies.
