Overall a better place to learn but needs improvement.

Placements: In the year 2018, when I got admitted in this college, total 80% of people got placed in various companies from our Department, Computer Science and Engineering. One of them got a package of 39 Lacs per annum. I don't exactly know but the lowest package offered in CSE was nearly about 6-10 Lac per annum.

Overall there are above average placements, but the average salary offered is low for mechanical.

Placements: Almost 78% of the students got placements as of 2019. The lowest salary package is offered by the MRCs, and it is approximately 4 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 15-16 LPA. The average salary package offered is 5.5-6 LPA. For core, actually, a good number of companies visit here for hiring students. Many students are recruited by L&T and Tata, but it is sometimes by IOCL. Very few students get internships here, but you can search for internship by your own source.

Placements: There are around 151 students in our batch in the mechanical engineering branch. About 78% of the students got placed from our passing out batch with the highest salary package of 20 LPA and the lowest salary package of 3 LPA and the average salary package of around 6 LPA-7 LPA. In our course, the highest salary package offered is around 18 LPA, while the lowest salary package offered is around 2 LPA and the average salary package offered is in between 5 LPA-6 LPA. Can't forget the amazing campus life.

Placements: If we talk about all branch placement of 2016, then it was 70 to 75%. But the placement percent for electrical branch was bit low than all branch placements rate. Some of top recruiting companies of 2016 were Hero Motocorp, L&T, Schneider Electric, Future first etc.

It provided 60-70% of placements in the CSE course in the year 2014.

Placements: In the year 2014, placements in the CSE branch were average. Around 60 to 70% of total students were placed. But now it has much improved as I am still connected with the institute as alumni. The average salary package offered in the year 2014 was 3.5 - 4.5 LPA. Some core IT companies like IBM, L&T and TCS had recruited many students from our batch.

Placements: When it comes to placement, NIT Durgapur is a great place to be at, Companies like Amazon, Microsoft, JPMC, Infosys, Capgemini, Qualcomm, OYO, L&T power, Hero Motocorp, BPCL and Even PSUs like IOCL vistis the campus. Just about last year, Microsoft recruited 11 students, where Amazon offered PPO to two students. The highest package offered was around 41lpa and the average being 6.7lpa. One of the best engineering college of India.

Placements: Placement :placement of national institute of technology, durgapur is awesome. Here all most 70-80 percent placement occurs in every year from every branches. Average package of all branches 6 to 8 Lacs per annum. In case of computer Science engineering it's reaches up-to 30 to 40 Lacs per annum. And here placement cell and intern cell also present which is very effective.

Placements: Placement of our college is pretty good. It is the heaven for CS/IT students. The core placement is also decent. Some of the average students need to fight a bit to get placed. Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, JPMC are some of the top IT companies that visit our college.

National Institute of Technology DURGAPUR.

Placements: The placements was above average as any old NIT would fare. The mean package was 5 LPA and the 30% students got placed in mass recruiters from TCS, IBM and L&T. A good 100 out of 600 got placed in companies offering more than 6 LPA. Biotechnology, civil and Mettallury core companies were rarely active in the processes and most of the technical companies didn't allow the departments to participate.

Placements: For CSE - Placements were fair to good with 85 - 90% of students being placed from on-campus drives. - Some of the highest packages offered ranged from 18LPA to 27LPA, on the lower side packages were mainly 4LPA - companies like Amazon, DE Shaw, Microsoft, Direct, Zomato, IBM, TCS, C-DOT, Cognizant, Tech-Mahindra, etc. Visited the campus - from college only a handful were selected for internship mainly with DE Shaw and Microsoft. Placements: Placements in our college are good and satisfactory for some departments while it's not up to the standards of NIT. The placement cell is still working on it, hope it will be good someday. Apart from these, computer science and information technology departments have good placements. There is a placement cell, and it functions well.

Placements: Placements in our college are fairly good. Especially the IT and CSE students get great salary packages. But placements are a little difficult for the core branches. The average salary package offered is around 4 LPA. Good companies like Microsoft, Amazon, visit the campus for placements. A few students are also offered double jobs.
