NIT Hamirpur is one of the best at infrastructure, but it's average at education and opportunities.

Placements: I would review the placements at NIT Hamirpur as decent. However, some very good and reputed companies like Sony Ericsson, Sapient, Oracle, DRDO, Samsung, MuSigma, Rancore, Belzaabar, Verizon, Polaris, Ford Car, Nucleus, Reliance, etc., visit the campus for placements. There was a scarcity for core companies for some particular branches. Reputed companies like Google, Microsoft, etc., never really visited mainly due to the hilly location of the college. Mass recruiter companies like Infosys, TCS...

Review of NIT Hamirpur - National Institute Of Technology (NITH).

Placements: Placements are quite good but not excellent as most of the companies do not come to the college because of its location. But if you are seeking for CSE or ECE, then you don't need to worry about placements as the previous records of these branches are mindblowing. However, we can't say anything about chemical engineering as it was newly introduced in our college.

The college provides great facilities but needs some improvement in academics.

Placements: Placements are good. Almost 70-75% of the eligible candidates get placed from computer science, electronics and mechanical departments. Placements for the students of electrical and chemical engineering are also good, but only a few students got placed. The major recruiters of our college are Maruti Suzuki, Vedanta, L&T, Juganoo, Samsung, Capgemini, Technip, Honda, GAP, Allen, Aakash, Oracle etc. The average salary package offered is about 6 LPA.

The infrastructure is the best, and there are a few flaws in the teaching system.

Placements: As far as the placements are concerned, almost half of the students in our batch were successfully placed. Placements for our seniors were slightly low. The highest package offered was 10 lakhs per annum, and the lowest package offered was 3.5 lakhs per annum. Companies that visited the college were Maruti, Honda, ISGEC, etc. Graduate trainee engineer role was offered to the students. One of the students got an internship from the college without stipend.

Absolutely satisfied with infrastructure and placement. But faculty and courses curriculum creates.

Placements: Placement is good. More than 10 mncs visit every year for cumpus placement. We have our own training and placement cell with very good officer and staff. Every year more than 90% students got placed through campus placements and average package is also good ranging from 5-6 Lacs. College also promote pool placement offers from companies on other colleges.

It's a paradise to be in!

Placements: Placements are good. Nowadays placement cell is doing a good job. The highest package last year was around 75Lacs. Mostly CS packages are higher than core branches. I was in civil department and our batch placement was almost 75% and it is almost the same for other core branches also.

Above average in all respects.

Placements: The placement programme over here is satisfactory but could definitely be made better. Since it lies in Himachal and travelling here is tough, a few companies will take bulk of students for the same kind of job no matter the branch (somewhat related) and provide them training for a satisfactory salary. Nevertheless, there are new companies every year and nearly everyone gets placed.

Best college in the serene of Himachal valley.

Placements: Placements were good and most of the students will get placed. About 80% of students got placements in good companies like ITC, Honda, Maruti, SAP, Sapient, L&T. The highest package was 15lpa and average was 6lpa. Internship in third year have to be applied by students themselves.

This college is very good for the B.tech student because of placement, faculty, extracurriculars.

Placements: There are different company coming for placement but very few companies are allowed to take part M.Tech student, means placement for M.Tech students are very less. But you can easily complete your master degree with others exam preparation like GATE IES, Jen.

It is NIT, and it justified its name. The faculty and the infrastructure are good.

Placements: There are average placements, but it is much better than other private colleges. The placement percentage is about 70 to 80 percent. The location is a factor which is adversely affecting our placement records, but still, it is good. The placements are better this year than that of the previous years. The average package offered in the core branches is 4.8 LPA, and in non-core branches, it is about 6 LPA to 7 LPA. Being a final year student, I can easily say that I've had an amazing experience in this college.

Placements: I would like to give a brief insight on the placements of all the branches as well as the internships received by the students through the college. As far as the internships are concerned, a mere few students (2-5 at max) receive internships through the college. Personal contacts and applying through the internet are the sources which students rely on for internships. However, the reputation of the college is a great help when applying online. For the placements, I'll start with the core branche...

Good placements but connectivity is too poor because of the mountains.

Placements: The placements are good. You will find Samsung and Jugnoo giving a maximum package of 14 LPA, but If you expect more, you must apply off-campus. All other companies give a package of 5 LPA-10 LPA. Almost all get placed in campus placement by mass recruiters. The placements are not good for low pointer students.

Maximum package this year was 20 Lacs per annum by Jugnoo and minimum was 3 Lacs per annum by LTI. Whereas in case of internship only a few students get the internship through our placement cell. JP Morgan selected one student with stipend 50,000 this year from our branch.

Placements: NIT hamirpur is one of the most prosperous institute of engineering in india. If I talk about present condition of placements in Nith then it is fine but not excellent. It has improved far better but I think due to location of nith placements are affected. But this does't means that there are no placements. The college environment is very good.

Placements: Well, as a civil engineering placement is concerned, it's not very good in the college. Most of the students (around 30) are placed in L&T, and the others study for GATE or other examinations. Many business analyst companies visit the campus, and if anyone is interested, they can join them. Overall, most of the students either prepare for GATE or drop. L&T offered a package of around Rs. 35,000 per month at the beginning with a 2-year bond. NIT Hamirpur has a placement cell.

Satisfied college. If you want to do great, then situation and facilities do not interrupt the path.

Placements: The placements are good enough for students in NIT Hamirpur. But, it requires more than a NITian to get good placement. You should be curious about learning things in the whole period of your B.Tech. Also, Your CGPA should be above 8 (require only to shortlist the students for different companies during placement procedure) which indicates your academic performance. Good CGPA can increase your chances to get a placement but not guarantee your placement.

A review on NIT Hamirpur placements, infrastructure and faculty.

Placements: Our placements haven't started yet. But, from the placements of our senior batches, I can say that NIT Hamirpur has a good placement record. The average package offered is 6 Lacs per annum. Recently, a student from our senior batch, Shikhar Srivastava, got a package of 75 Lacs from a British company. So, the overall placement record is good.
