Excellent infrastructure. The campus is beautiful. Below average placements and average activities.

Placements: The placements are not much but had the balanced placement. Few companies came and gave a package for few students. In brief, the campus placements are very disappointed, but few students and faculty put efforts to increase the placements. So, that placement ratio is increased. They organised a group that helps to increase communication of students that will help at placement time.

NIT Hamirpur, a place with a lot of potential but bounded by circumstances.

Placements: The placements are quite good. The tag of NIT really works. Though the average package is not that high when compared with other premium institutes, we are satisfied. The major problem regarding placements is the location of the institute. The college has poor connectivity via air or rail thus some companies don't prefer to visit the institute, but still, a good number of companies visit the institute like Samsung, Amazon, Adobe and many other big names. For internships, you yourself need to do ...

NIT, Hamirpur is a remarkable college.

Placements: The average placements are around 6 lacs per annum. Usually, the software companies offer the highest packages and the electronics stream students can sit on the computer science company interviews. The college offer overall development of students as various clubs are present in the college. The students can increase their confidence and skill level in their field of interest.

This college has pros and cons, but this is the best among other colleges.

Placements: The placements are a little bit good, not too much higher, but it was medium. Almost 75% were placed in some national and international companies. The highest package of CSE 75 Lacs. The lowest one is around 3 Lacs from the chemical branch. MNCs like Wipro, SAP Labs, HSBC, ONGC, UTC, and UHG. Talented students got qualified after attending several interviews and GDs. Around 15% of the students got placed for the internships. The highest stipend is 1 Lac and the lowest stipend 30-40 thousand. We ...

I feel cheated, no future job prospects in ECE branch (my first and last choice).

Placements: Most of the ECE students get placed in IT companies, and the average package is 5 lakh/annum, the highest package offered at the moment is 7lakhs per annum, and the lowest is 3.5lakh/annum. The college does not provide any help in getting the internship you have to search on your own. From my class, 4 students secured foreign internship out of 118 students and about 5-6 got the industrial internship, & 4-5 in IISC & reputed government institutions and the rest sorted to BSNL, fake certificate, p...

Good placements, good infrastructure and facilities. The faculty are fine, helping environment.

Placements: Placement of NIT, Hamirpur are quite good. I think that it is good than the rest of the nearby NITs. So, I recommend everyone to come to this college if you are thinking to come. This year, more than 80 companies visited here for placements, and many students got placed as well.

It's a good college on overall basis but lacks in projects and innovations.

Placements: The placement index is not high. The main constraint is our location. This is the main drawback due to which reputed companies are not able to visit our campus. We have an average package of around 4-4.5lakhs per annum for the previous batch. Big companies like Google, Schlumberger, etc., don't visit our campus. It is not easily accessible as in case of other institutions.

I am dissatisfied because of the faculty and placements.

Placements: In my opinion, the placements are not good from last 2 years. In our class, nearly 43% of the students got placed till now. The highest package offered is of 6 LPA and the least package offered is of 3.25 LPA. A very few core companies have visited the NITH this time and that too for EEE, only 3-4 companies like L&T construction, L&T Technological Services, Tata Power. Remaining all are software development companies and management companies only. When coming to the internships, no encouragement...

Above average college in the north region

Placements: Overall, it was a 100% on-campus placement which even extends to 3 months after passing out of college. The highest package was 18 LPA by Drishti Soft. Although many big names in the corporate world come here for placements, they return in disappointment as students fail to pass the technical test or even the aptitude test. The average salary offered is 8 LPA and the lowest salary offered was 3.5 LPA. Companies like Samsung, JP Morgan, Drishti Soft, Infosys, Wipro, etc. visited the campus. Faceb...

Placements: NIT Hamirpur's placement is very good. Every year maximum students placed in my college. Around 70-80% students were placed. The highest package is 16-18 lakhs, the lowest is 3.4-3.7 lakhs and the average is 5.5-6 lakhs. JP Morgan, Wipro, Vedanta, L&T Services, Godrej, Honda, Jugnoo, Capgemini, Anglo Esteren, Samsung, Drishti, IOCL Pharmaceuticals and much more. The best NIT among all the NITs

Placements: Most of the students get placed not only through campus placement but outside campus also. You can have a job by campus placements only if you have good technical and communication skills because only a few students were selected from my batch. But you can try on your own outside the campus and you will definitely get a good job because of the name of the institution.

An inside eye to NIT Hamirpur

Placements: As far as I have observed, overall, the placement record is quite good. NIT Hamirpur has got a reputation of being best in Himachal Pradesh and it reflects in its placement drive. Though the highest package and number of placement is obviously maximum in CSE branch, other branches like electronics, mechanical, electrical, chemical, etc. also observed decent and many times good placement packages. In comparison, the civil branch may seem to have a low share in terms of placement. That can be said...

Great college, good infrastructure, and a moderate placement.

Placements: The college has an okayish placement record with a better package of branches which include mechanical and computers on positive. Although civil, electronics and electrical have a poor placement and not a very promising faculty members. The college has a good infrastructure which will cover up for the prospects.

Placements: The highest package offered was 17 LPA, the lowest package was 3.25 LPA, and the average package was 4.5 LPA. The percentage of students placed was 92%. The major recruiters were Amazon, Johnson and Johnson, Technip, Polaris, Accenture, Wipro, Infosys, etc. The roles offered were mainly of analysts, software developer, and graduate trainees. Few internships were offered by the college.

Engineering from NITH review.

Placements: The 1st batch has passed out recently and 20 of them got placed in core and non-core industries, i.e., around 40%. The best GATE result in the college was given by our department. 26 students got a rank below AIR 500. Since it was the 1st batch, not many companies visited the campus but called the students for off-campus selections.

Placements: The placements in NITH vary from department to department. For CSE department, the placement is quite good. Previous year, 75 students got placed in a batch of 90 students. The average package is around 5.5 lpa. The highest package is 22 lpa this year offered by Jugnoo. The lowest package is around 4 lpa.

Good infrastructure, good placements and average faculty.

Placements: Placements are good in each branch depending on the market. As there are always ups and downs going on in the market, so there is always a possibility of change in the consistency of the placement rate. But there is a surety of at least 60-70% placements for each branch and sometimes it reaches above 90 as well.

College with good infrastructure but little bit lacking in placements.

Placements: The placement record is not that much good. I guess about 75% of our senior batch got placed. The thing is that, due to location issues, many of the company HRs do not prefer to come here. So many of times, students have to go NIT Kurukshetra or NIT Delhi for interviews. But last to last year, the record was quite good. About 90% of the batch got placed at that time.

Placements: Placement for our senior batch was quite satisfying. Most of them are placed in IT sector and about 60% of the students have been placed. The highest package offered for the chemical was 7.95 lacs per annum. There were two students and both of them are placed in Vedanta. The lowest package offered was 3.5 lacs and the average package was 4.6 lacs per annum.
