Faculty: Supportive professors and administrative staff.
Placements: Infosys, TCS, Capgemini, etc. and all service-based companies are our regular recruiters. Microsoft and Google have visited the campus and gave the highest package of 2500000. Tata Ceramics, Cera, and Vedanta recruit ceramic engineers. All of us are placed in my batch from Ceramic Engineering. Alumni is very strong for our NIT; this is more than 60-year-old college. I have no idea on startups from my batch.
Infrastructure: We have dual sharing rooms and single sharing rooms divided across 11 different hostels. Meal quality is quiet horrible but edible. Registration for the hostel and its affordability are quite stringent. But there is a provision for pure vegetarian eaters among all hostilities.
Faculty: The M.Tech program at NIT Rourkela features a well-structured curriculum with a mix of core and elective courses. The faculty members are experienced and well-qualified. I selected this program for its Ph.D. or equivalent degrees and its academic reputation, industry connections, and research opportunities. NIT Rourkela maintains a favorable faculty-to-student ratio, ensuring individualized attention and guidance. The faculty holds employs a practical, application-oriented teaching approach. Term exams are typically conducted on schedule, and pass difficulty varies by course, with ample support provided for success.

Wonderful and Beautiful Campus and infrastructure.
Placements: The average placement here is decent, but the highest package always amazes us. This time it was 21 LPA, which is pretty good. Students are eligible for campus placements starting in the 7th semester. Talking about the companies, you won't get to see companies like Google and Microsoft, but companies like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Cognizant, and Capgemini do visit the campus and offer pretty good packages.
Infrastructure: Hostel Facilities: In the hostel room, there is a LAN connection with a 3 mbps speed and unlimited data. No AC is divided in the hostel room. The hostel's food menu and food quality are very good. Once you are admitted to NITR, the hostel will automatically be allocated. 100% residence; in some special/medical cases, some may stay outside the campus.
Faculty: I think MTech in the electronics field is a good option. It has huge research and application potential. The faculty-student ratio is good, almost 10:1. The faculty members are all Ph.D.s from IITs. They are well-experienced. There are two- semesters in a year. There is one midterm and one end-term exam in a semester. All question papers are prepared based on the topics covered. The weekly quizzes are tough. Other exams are moderately difficult to pass.

This is the best Choice of my life.
Placements: As a current M.Tech student in Electronics and Communication at NIT Rourkela, I've had the opportunity to experience the institute's myriad facts, from academics to extracurriculars. There's an insider's look at what makes NIT Rourkela a unique and dynamic environment for higher education. One of the highlights of NIT Rourkela is its impressive placement record. For the Electronics and Communication department, the placement percentage consistently hovers around 85-90%. Top recruiters include prominent companies like Intel, Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, and Microsoft, offering roles that range from research and development to system design and software engineering. The placement scenario at NIT Rourkela remains robust, with a strong network of alumni and industry connections. Apart from the core companies like Intel and Qualcomm, other top recruiters include IBM, Tata Consultancy Services, Samsung, and L&T. The institute's dedicated placement cell works tirelessly to ensure that students have access to the best opportunities in their respective fields.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities at NIT Rourkela are commendable. There are separate hostels for undergraduate and postgraduate students, each equipped with the necessary amenities. The rooms are spacious and well-maintained, with 24/7 electricity and water supply. Wi-Fi connectivity is available throughout the hostels, ensuring that students have access to the internet for academic and personal use. NIT Rourkela places a strong emphasis on holistic development. The institute has excellent sports facilities, including a well-equipped gymnasium, basketball and tennis courts, cricket and football fields, and a swimming pool. Students are encouraged to participate in various sports, and there are numerous clubs and societies for those interested in cultural activities, technical pursuits, and social cases. The mess and canteen are super amazing. Every day nonveg will be there, so Non veg eaters be ready this is your Dream adda.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified but some Odia teachers are very old-fashioned, They give undue advantage to their Favourites. Especially Odia guys. The course curriculum is relevant and makes you industry-ready. Here you need not worry about the course curriculum, the environment and friend circle will teach you a lot. Semester exams are quite difficult. Some professors do experiments with question papers so you have to study, no option left.
Other: NIT Rourkela is renowned for its vibrant campus life. The annual techno-management fest, Innovision, and the cultural fest, Nitrutsav, are major highlights. I choose this course because NIT Rourkela is one of the top institute of the country and After cracking GATE I was getting a seat here in the above mentioned branch so analysing the career opportunities I thought this course would be a gamechanger for me.

Fully satisfied. Best place for personality development and career as well.
Placements: Maximum students were selected in good companies. Qualcomm was the best company that came for our batch. Many electronic companies visited the campus for recruitment. Top coaching institutes also visit for recruitment. Top package was 18 LPA for M.Tech batch.
Infrastructure: Whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled, the library is awesome, classrooms are also good. Hostel facilities are excellent. A swimming pool is also there. Each hostel is having its own parking and tennis, badminton and volleyball courts. Campus fully eco friendly. There are two cricket stadiums for cricket and Hockey each. Sports facility is top class.
Faculty: Most of the teachers were very knowledgeable and experienced. Academics were the best in all NITs. They provide a lot of facilities and platform so that students can get all the required knowledge. They also encourage interested students to go for research work.

NITR is one of the best institutes one can be a part of.
Placements: The placements for my batch and my senior batch were pretty decent. Historically the placement scenario for the B.Tech students is far better than the 5 year B.Tech + M.Tech dual degree students and it was the same for my batch too. People from Computer Science Department and Electronics Department were given preference over other departments when it came to Software companies and Consulting Companies. The highest package, which was probably 27 LPA, was offered by Amazon India. TCS was one of the mass recruiters which hired a lot of students. Placements in core companies (electrical and civil in particular) could have been a lot better.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of NIT Rourkela is one of the best in the country. No doubt there is a room for a lot of improvement. But the hostels were pretty good. The quality of food in canteen was hygienic but it could have been improved. There were 4 small restaurants inside the campus. But there is a need for big food chains to open outlets inside the campus. A campus spanning 1500 acres and accomodating around 6000 people needs to have a supermarket, which as of now is missing.
Faculty: The faculty are good. But the curriculum should be changed. The number of credits should be brought down and there should be more number of professional electives so that a student aspiring to do something in a different field should be able to do so. Moreover the coursework should be changed in a way such that students should be prepared to face job interviews or interviews for higher studies with more confidence.
Other: NITR's campus life is a very happening one. Throughout the year people participate in various activities organised by the clubs and societies. The fest culture is dying down slowly because of too much interference from the faculty members. Students should be given more power to handle the administrative side of these fests and various other events.
