Good placements and an institute of national importance.
Placements: Almost 100 percent of the people who sat for the placement got placed. The top recruiting companies were Google, Microsoft, Deloitte, Qualcomm, etc. The average package is around 15 LPA, with 24 LPA for CSE students. Internships are based on luck; some people get on-campus internships, whereas those who do not will get off-campus internships just because of the college brand. The top roles offered are software engineer, data analyst, data scientist, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are good. The Wi-Fi speed is okay. Classrooms are neat and clean and fit a specific number of students. The library is open from 10 AM to 10 PM, and if exams are coming up, it will be open until 12 PM. The mess food is okay, but at times, there will be insects in it. Since the campus is 1200 acres, it has a football ground, cricket ground, swimming pool, etc. The canteen's hygiene is okay, and the prices are also low.
Faculty: Some teachers are lenient and helpful, whereas others are too strict and do not give any marks for corrections. They do not teach properly, so we have to learn everything on our own. In the first year, all branches have the same subjects, which will be harder in the first semester. Once you reach the second year, things get easier. Semester exams are of medium difficulty. There are two exams: mid-semester exams and end-semester exams, with each worth 30 and 50 marks, respectively, and 20 marks for internal assessment. The pass mark is 35/100.

It is a very nice college because of its faculty, research facilities, and good placement.
Placements: Nearly 20 percent of students are placed in my course, that is computer science and engineering. The highest package offered is 80 LPA, the average is 30 LPA and the minimum is 15 LPA in my course. The top recruiters are Microsoft, Google, Oracle, Tata, Reliance, etc. Approximately 80 percent students got internships in MNCs like Microsoft, Google, Oracle, HCL, ONGC, etc. The top roles offered are software development, web development, app development, software engineering, design engineering, project management, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college is very nice. Labs, classrooms, and libraries are well structured and connected with Wi-Fi and advanced technologies for productive work. Hostels are also well structured and connected with a Wi-Fi system and air conditioning. Each hostel has its own mess, an indoor games hall and outdoor game fields. Additional hostels have a study room, a music room and a small library. The quality of the food is very nice. Medical facilities are also very good. Each hostel is provided with a doctor and an ambulance service. Each hostel has 2 canteens, one for the day and one for the night.
Faculty: Professors are highly qualified Ph.D.s and knowledgeable. They are very helpful and their teaching quality is very good. Yes, course curriculum is very much relevant and it helps the students in their own industries. Semester examinations are not that difficult if you have studied from day one. The pass percentage is approximately 95 percent.
Other: I had chosen this course because I had an interest in computer science. In my course, practical skills should be more focused instead of focusing more on theory. There are so many clubs in my college that are organizing so many extracurricular events and fests. My college is famous for its tech fest.

A review on NIT Rourkela with Shawon.
Placements: On average, 90% of students in CSE get placed. The highest package from CSE is 70 lacs and the lowest was 8 lacs last year. The top companies are Amazon, Google, Tata, Codenation, Microsoft, etc. In CSE, 80% of students get on-campus internships and other opportunities off-campus. The top roles are SDE, Analytics, AI, etc.
Infrastructure: Our department has all the facilities, like full Wi-Fi. Then it has an educated library room for studies, and labs are well facilitated. We have enough rooms available for all the students and Lab rooms are air Conditioned. In the hostel, all the rooms are double rooms, and there are common rooms, reading rooms, etc. available.
Faculty: Our teachers are well qualified. They are very helpful and practical in their teaching. The course curriculum is relevant; there are no extra loads. This is very essential for our term examinations. It makes the students industry-ready. A minimum of 35% is required in order to pass the semester exams.
Other: I have chosen it because I have an interest in computers and software from my school. The only thing I wish would be better is the exam timing. There are fests like INNOVISION, NITRUTSAV, COSMO, VRIDDHI, etc.

My honest college review.
Placements: 95% of the students were placed. The highest package was 70 lpa, the lowest was 7 lpa, and the average was 15 lpa. Top recruiters are Amazon, Google, TCS, Deloitte, etc. 70% students got internship in companies like Oracle and Western Digital. Top roles offered are software development, software testing, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good. We have an indoor stadium, a football field, and a cricket field. Campus has Wi-Fi everywhere, classrooms have ACs and labs are also good and equipped with all instruments and machines. In hostels, the quality of food is good. Different types of food options are available for North Indians and South Indians. The college has a medical center with a doctor available 24 hours a day. Sports facilities are also available at college.
Faculty: Faculty are experienced and knowledgeable and they are all highly qualified. Teaching quality us good Is course circulam is relevent but more practical knowledge should be given Semester exams are difficult and it is difficult to pass. Pass percentage is 40% .
Other: I chose B.Tech. because I was interested in new technologies and my family was most of them in this field so under their guidance, I chose this course. Practical knowledge lacks it, so it should be improved; the college should focus more on practical teaching. Fest is held annually in the college and various events are held throughout the year. Bus facilities and auto facilities are available near the college and the nearest railway station is just 10 km away. There are a lot of extracurricular activities available in college.

It's just a straightforward mathematical computation here. 1 percentile indicates that 1 percent of the students scored higher than you. You need at least 75.5 from the CBSE board or 65%. If you are from UP, boards, there are different criteria for merits, but nowadays 75% is working for all government colleges. And for more information, you may check it on the college site.

Definitely not, NIT colleges are only for those who scored extremely well in JEE Mmains examination. Score having 320-330+ out of 360 will only be considered as an NIT score.
