NIT Trichy admission process is entirely entrance-based. Candidates are required to qualify for national-level entrance exams such as JEE Main, IIT JAM, CAT, etc., for the respective courses. Apart from that, candidates must also have to appear for the additional selection rounds such as Personal Interview (PI) round for MBA. No, NIT Trichy does not offer admission to any of its courses directly. Admission is strictly entrance-based. BTech specialisations offered are Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, and Instrumentation & Control Engineering. Students who want to get admission to MSc at NIT Trichy must graduate with a minimum 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA (for SC/ ST/PwD, a minimum 55% aggregate or 6.0 CGPA is required) in the respective subjects. NIT Trichy offers MBA course across seven specialisations. These are Human Resource Management, Marketing, Finance, Production and Operations, Business Analytics, Information systems and IT Consulting and General Management. For 2022, the cut off was 7307 for General category candidates in All India quota for BTech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in NIT Trichy - National Institute of Technology. Currently, the NIT Trichy MCA admission 2023 has been closed. The admission process has ended with the final seat allotment in the month of July.
