Absolutely amazing fests, good placements in 2020, and good infrastructure and sports facilities.
Placements: Around 80% of students got placed in my course, although the placement was lower due to the recession this year. In general, the average placement is around INR 30 lakh. The maximum placement you will see is in the electronics domain rather than the electrical domain. Almost 200 companies visit our college every year so students have a high probability of getting placed and teachers also show high support for internships. They sit for an internship in their 5th semester and have to do it during summer vacation, which is a 2-credit course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the hostel is really good and rooms have been provided with individual Wi-Fi, so the speed is fabulous. The food quality is good but in the first year you have to go to South Mess, which is not good at all but in the second year you can choose your mess. The library is really good because it contains plenty of books to read, although you won't read them.
Faculty: So professors are really good and they have knowledge about the subject but I personally feel that you have to study on your own and yes, the papers are not too much difficult but that depends on pros and cons. Sometimes you may feel difficult in a particular subject. Otherwise, it is simple many times. Almost 90% of students pass.
Other: Yes! So honestly, I chose this course because it was allotted to me during Jose's counseling, but here I found that if you are interested in the building of machines and electrical instruments at the core level, then this course is the best to provide. Also, NIT Trichy has many fests, including NITTFEST, Aaveg, Festem, pragyan and much more, which will lead to too much fun.

I am satisfied with its placements and facilities but infrastructure is not good.
Placements: Around 92.4% of students get placed in this course. The highest salary package offered is around 45 LPA. The average salary package offered ranges between 6.5 LPA and 20 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Google, Amazon, Microsoft, and DE Shaw.
Infrastructure: Our campus has 27 hostels and it also provides various mess facilities. Wi-Fi is available in every hostel. There are several canteens on campus that serve delicious food. There is also a government hospital on campus that is open 24X7 for all medical emergencies.
Faculty: Faculty members are well qualified. They teach students very well. They are always ready to guide and clear your doubts. Many faculty members have good research profiles so students can learn a lot from them. Semester exams depend on faculty members' notes.
Other: Our college is far from the main Trichy city hence you can end up paying a lot for cabs and autos so it is advisable to use buses for traveling.

A top class institute but improvements are always possible in academic curriculum.
Placements: As far as I know, it is not too hard to get placed in our college, if you have done something though very little which is useful you will get placed. In our EEE branch which is considered a most hectic branch, as far as I know. The highest salary package went up to 40 LPA whereas the lowest salary package offered is around 5 LPA, and the average salary package offered lies around 10 LPA. Around 60-70% of students get internships. From our course, students are not only placed in the core electrical sector but also in the software, marketing, and digital graphic sector too. So it wholely depends upon one's capability, fortes, and interests.
Infrastructure: Hostels are Mediocre as expected but bearable with 2 people in a room. Mess food is okay but eatable. There is an Apollo hospital on campus. We have Wi-Fi in our hostel but the speed is not so impressive. There is a swimming pool, basketball ground, and cricket ground. The central library is very well maintained and also it has air-conditioners. The classrooms are good.
Faculty: The teachers are quite experienced and they, on their side, give their 100% to make sure that we understand. They hold Ph.D. degrees and are quite knowledgeable too. Though there are some aspects (not whole) of the curriculum that are not so relevant in today's time like in the introductory course of engineering graphics, we are meant to draw on paper when AutoCad is in use. Though we are a good institute, they do provide good internships in the 2nd and 3rd years so that we get hands-on exposure to the industry. The exams are quite hard as they consist of vivas, regular class tests, mid-sem exams, end sem exams, and labs. It's not easy to score a good CGPA. The passing CGPA is 4 or 5 maybe.
Other: I think the branch of electronic and electrical engineering is here to stay as long as machines and circuits exist and for that, this course is best also. There are so many clubs and fests in which you can be a part. But I may warn you that you must have the prerequiste to join the clubs. The fests and events happen on regular basis. There is something or the other always going on campus. The campus is actually outside the main city and away from railway and airport by 20 km so that's an issue.

Overall, you will enjoy your campus life here.
Placements: My batch is yet to complete engineering. Placements in our branch are above 95% consistently for every past year. The highest salary package offered was 42 LPA in the year 2020, and the average salary package offered was 6.5 LPA. Some companies like Infosys, Wipro, etc., visit the college for placements.
Infrastructure: All the hostel rooms have good high-speed Wi-Fi 24x7 for free of cost. There are more than 20 boys' hostels on campus. Most of them are rooms are 2 sharing, and a few are three sharing. All the rooms are spacious enough for 2-3 people. Some hostels are old, but they have been renovated and are in good condition. All the hostels have a canteen in front of them where you can eat 12 hours a day. There is a night canteen where you can eat at night also. There are separate messes like north and south Indian. The food served is average. There is a hospital on campus. I have never visited it, but it has basic facilities only. Every hostel has a common room where you can play TT. Some hostels also have badminton and volleyball courts. There is a sports complex where you can play volleyball, basketball, TT, etc. There are grounds for football and cricket also. There are two gyms, one is free of cost, and the other gym is for Rs. 2,000 per semester.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They all are experienced in teaching. They always stress more on understanding things rather than just mugging them. They focus a lot on things that have practical application and try to clear all the doubts. Exams are moderate. The pass percentage varies from subject to subject.
Other: I have chosen this course because I am interested in electrical engineering, and I got it by my JEE rank. Events and fests are amazing and known around the country. People on campus are amazing. College is located in NH, so you will need to take a taxi to reach a railway station or airport. You can travel anywhere from here, and mostly, long journeys via Chennai or Bangalore.

I am satisfied with the facilities and placements provided in our college.
Placements: From our batch, around 100% of the students who attended for placements got a job. The highest salary package offered is around 20 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is around 4 LPA. Texas Instruments, Uber, HLS Asia and Microsoft are the top recruiters for our course. Around 20% of the students from our course got internships, and companies which offer internships are Microsoft, Uber and Texas Instruments. The top role offered in our course is electrical machine designing.
Infrastructure: All the hostels here have a free high-speed Wi-Fi facility. Labs are very old, but all kinds of machines are available in them. Hostels have RO water facility. The quality of the food served in the mess is not much good, but it is not much bad also. Free medical facilities are available on the campus.
Faculty: Teachers here are helpful, but you should be lucky to get good faculty members who have passion. They have in-depth knowledge of the subject and will help you to clear all types of doubts. Their teaching quality is average. The course curriculum is relevant, but our college should add modern technologies also to it. I think experience makes students ready for the industry.
Other: I have chosen this course because it has a high placement rate. I wish that our college should teach practical things in the modern world along with the course. Two main fests are organised in our college, and they are Festember and Pragyan. Festember is our cultural fest, while Pragyan is our technical fest.

Hello In fact, NIT Trichy is one of the best NITs, as far as the admission is concerned a min mark of 250+ is required for electronics, unless you belong to some reserved categories. You can check your eligibility on Shiksha's JEE Main rank predictor. All the best.

I think NIT electrical will give you more exposure. NIT-Trichy always hit its 100% record in all most all UG courses. IIT-BHU has its brand name just like other IITs. It's completely up to you to decide now.
