Q: What are the rules related to PUBDET image upload?
Upload scanned copy of photograph and signature as per the instructions provided in the Information Bulletin. If any candidate receives any SMS/email regarding discrepancy in photograph/ signature, he/she must take corrective action immediately within one day. Admit cards are not issued if these images are illegible and thus not acceptable.
Q: Where can I get information related to PUBDET exam?
It is essential to have a valid mobile number and a unique valid email ID. All future communications by the Board will be sent to the registered mobile number and email ID. WBJEEB will not be held responsible for non-receipt of any communication due to wrong/non- existing/non-functional/changed mobile number/ email ID or due to network interruption.
Q: Can I change the information mentioned on the PUBDET application form?
Once the registration details i.e., name, father’s name, mother’s name, gender, domicile and date of birth are entered and submitted, this information cannot be changed/modified/edited under any circumstances. Also, the information must match exactly with the school/college admit cards, mark sheets, certificates, photo identity cards, caste/category/income certificates etc. (as applicable) which a candidate has to produce at the time of entering the examination hall, during counselling/admission and registration with the University.

Candidates should have cleared the higher secondary examination (XII) that is conducted by CBSE, West Bengal or an equivalent exam, not before 2021.
The candidate must pass XII with at least five recognized subjects, including English language and excluding Environmental Science. The aggregate is to be calculated in the best four recognized subjects.

- After successfully registering, candidates can fill out the application form by entering personal details such as domicile, category, PwD status, home district, family income status, religion, nationality etc. and academic qualifications of class X and XII.
- After filling in the aforementioned details, candidates need to choose any two zones as examination centres and submit the application.
- In the next step, candidates need to upload scanned images of their photographs and signatures.

After successfully filling out the application form, the applicants can press the submit button. This will lead the aspirant to a confirmation page, which means that the application process is now complete. Application is not complete until the ‘confirmation page’ is granted. Candidates must take a printout of the confirmation page and preserve it till the completion of the admission process.
Note: If candidates lose their confirmation page, a duplicate can be provided by the board. However, candidates will have to apply to the board and pay a processing fee of INR 500 by a bank draft in the name of “West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board”, which is payable in Kolkata.

Successful applicants will be issued PUBDET 2025 admit cards. The admit cards will be released online on the exam body's official website. Candidates will have to enter their application numbers and dates of birth to access their admit cards. A printout of the PUBDET admit card must be carried to the exam centre. Candidates who fail to produce the admit card at the exam centres will not be allowed to take the entrance exam.
