PUBDET 2025 Results - The exam body WBJEEB will announce the PUBDET 2025 results on their official website. It is likely that the PUBDET result 2025 will be declared in August 2025 while the exam is expected to be held in July 2025. PUBDET results are announced in the form of Rank Cards for each candidate. They must log in using their login credentials. Once the rank cards are released, candidates who score the cutoff marks will be called for PUBDET counselling. Based on the counselling process the exam body releases seat allotment lists. Following this students are admitted to the participating institutes. Q: In which form PUBDET result is released?
PUBDET result will be published in the form of rank card, which will have all relevant ranks, total score, and component scores in respective papers. Candidates will be able to view and download their rank card by logging in with their password. The Board never publishes a rank list to ensure confidentiality to each individual candidate. Ranks cards with scores will be issued to all candidates, who appears in PUBDET-2024. But all may not be awarded a rank and hence may not be eligible for counseling, for which a cut off rank and/or a cut off score will be decided by the Board.
Q: Can I challenge my PUBDET answer keys?
Any candidate, who are not satisfied with the captured responses are allowed to challenge online on payment of INR 500 per question plus bank’s service charges, if any. The Board then reviews the challenges and take final decision. The Board’s decision on the challenges is final and no further communication will be entertained. Challenges by email, letter, fax, telephone etc. other than through online mode are not accepted or entertained.
Q: What is the PUBDET evaluation and declaration of result process?
Model Answer Keys will be available for a brief period at Board’s website shortly after the examination. Candidates will be required to log in and view the model answer keys.
Candidates are also allowed to challenge any answer key on payment of INR 500 per question plus the bank’s service charges, if any.
The Board then reviews the challenges and publish Final and Frozen Answer Keys. The Board’s decision in this regard will be final and no further communication will be entertained.
Images of OMRs and machine read responses was available for a brief period in Board’s web site after the examination. Any candidate can view the images of his/her OMRs and machine read responsesby logging in with his/her password. Candidates should download and preserve copies of their OMRs. However, the duration of preservation of record (s)/ document (s)/ information will be notified and made available on the Board’s website.
How to check PUBDET 2025 Results?
The university will not release any score/rank list. Candidates can check and download their respective rank cards in the following steps mentioned below:
Step 1: The candidate will have to visit the official website of WBJEEB in order to check their rank cards.
Step 2: On visiting the WBJEEB official site, candidates will have to click on the ‘PUBDET 2025 Rank Card’ tab, which will be available on the website.
Step 3: On clicking the link, the candidate will be directed to a new page, where the aspirant will have to fill up the details in order to avail of the rank card. Candidates will have to enter their application number, password and date of birth.
Step 4: The candidate will then have to click on the sign-in button.
Step 5: The candidate can view their respective PUBDET rank cards. Results will be available to individual candidates which will contain all relevant ranks and total scores.
Step 6: Candidates are advised to download and take a print-out of their rank cards as it will be required during the counselling process.

- The rank shall be in the name and style of ‘GMR’ (General Merit Rank).

- WBJEEB prepares merit ranks based on the candidates’ score in the entrance tests. Candidates can view and download his/her Rank Card, which contains score and rank. WBJEEB does not publish any general rank/score list.
- The rank shall be in the name and style of ‘GMR’ (General Merit Rank).
- Ranking shall be done in descending order of marks scored in the entrance test.
- The below rule shall be applicable for determining the merit rank.
- Separate reserved category merit positions will also be indicated for the respective category of students e.g. SC Rank, ST Rank, OBC-A Rank, OBC-B Rank, PWD Rank as applicable.
- Counselling/allotment of seat/admission will be done based on GMR only (not on category ranks). Category ranks are only for information to candidates.
- Category ranks are generated based on information given by the candidates during online application. If during verification, any candidate’s claim is found invalid, his/her category rank will be cancelled and the candidate will be considered in General category only with his/her GMR. Category ranks of other candidates will not be revised.

Candidates can check the PUBDET tie–breaking methodology below:
- In case of a tie, the candidate obtaining less negative score will have a higher rank and will get a higher position in the merit list.
- If a tie exists still thereafter, all such candidates will be awarded the same rank and will be considered for counselling and admission with a bunching effect.
Q: What is the reservation policy for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PWD categories in PUBDET exam?
The reservation policies of West Bengal State Higher Education Institutions (Reservation in Admission) Act, 2013 and West Bengal State Higher Education Institutions (Reservation in Admission) Act, 2014 will be followed for admission in reserved seats for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PWD along with any extent orders as applicable at the time of admission.
However, availability of such reserve category seats shall be restricted to students domiciled in West Bengal only.
Candidates claiming such seats must submit relevant Certificate issued by the competent Authorities as given in respective sections.
The certificate is to be produced during counselling, admission etc. If the certificate is then found to be invalid, the candidate will lose the opportunity of admission in reserve category and will be treated as General category.

PUBDET 2025 Counselling
PUBDET Counselling 2025 will be conducted after the PUBDET Results are announced. The result for PUBDET 2025 will be declared by the exam conducting body i.e., WBJEEB. The PUBDET rank cards are issued by WBJEEB for each candidate on the official website of the exam. However, the list of candidates eligible to take part in the PUBDET counselling process will be released separately on WBJEEB’s official website. Only those aspirants who are eligible will be able to take part in the counselling/seat allocation process.
