The word which defines the university itself is "ROYAL."

Placements: We all need to admit that the structural program does not have good placements, good packages, or high placement rates compared to IT, MCA, and CS students. Companies visit and the college arranges their hiring drives, including Tribeni Construction, B&D Construction, North East Construction, and L&T Construction. About 50-60% of students from our 2023 batch in structural engineering get jobs. The salary package is mostly in CTC, but the in-hand salary is very low, with an average package of ₹4.4 LPA. Internships are sometimes distributed without interviews, directly based on marks, and they also provide a universal stipend of ₹10,000 per month.

Infrastructure: The campus infrastructure is modern, with state-of-the-art classrooms and advanced laboratories, supporting a conducive environment. However, structural policies of the university and even teachers sometimes complain about the university. We enjoy annual events like Consensio, which includes sports. Sports facilities include squash, football, lawn tennis, badminton, basketball, and cricket. Hostel facilities are very good and hygienic, with centrally air-conditioned rooms and clean food, though there is dust and pollution on campus due to cars and bikes.

Faculty: Teachers are good at teaching, especially in performing practicals, but management is poor. Classes are arranged poorly; sometimes we have four hours of continuous lectures, which are very hectic. Teachers also work as site engineers and some are part-time designers or Ph.D. holders. The course is well-structured, divided into four semesters. Each day starts with two lectures of a subject, followed by a lunch break, then two more lectures and a 15-minute tea break. At the end of the day, we have two-hour practical sessions, so it’s a combination of theory and practical work. Semester examinations handled by the university are of low to moderate difficulty.

Other: In my degree, my relatives pressured me to do engineering in civil. After that, I wanted to pursue a master’s, with limited options like construction management and structural engineering, so I chose structural engineering.
