Q:   I got 79 percentile in JEE Mains and 66% in Class 12. Will I get admission to Sastra University, Thanjavur?

A:

Based on the information you've provided, your JEE Mains percentile of 79 is decent and could be a competitive score for admission to Sastra University, Thanjavur. However, your class 12 percentage of 66% might be slightly below the usual cutoff for some courses at the university. To increase your chances of admission, I recommend checking Sastra University's official website or contacting their admission department for the specific cutoff scores and eligibility criteria for the course you are interested in.

Sastra University is known for its competitive admission process, and the cutoff marks can vary each year. It's essential to have a clear understanding of the admission requirements and eligibility criteria to make an informed decision.

In case your JEE Mains percentile meets or exceeds the cutoff set by Sastra University for your desired course, you stand a good chance of getting admission. However, if the cutoff is higher, you may consider other options or explore different courses that align with your JEE Mains score and class 12 percentage.

Remember, admissions to universities can be competitive, and it's always a good idea to have backup options. There are many other reputable institutions that offer quality education in engineering and other fields. Research thoroughly, consider all available choices, and apply to multiple universities to increase your chances of getting accepted.

I wish you the best of luck with your admission process, and I hope you find the right university and course that aligns with your academic goals and aspirations!"

College is good decent. Has decent NIRF ranking, Morely assured placements.
Placements: 80%-90% placements in both core and non core companies. Top companies recruiting are TVS, L&T, Lucas brakes, Ford, Murugappa companies, TCS, CTS, etc. Many students even went for internship in many companies in both core and non-core. Average package is like above 7 LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good in both academic blocks and hostels. Campus and hostels are neat and clean. Hostel Mess and canteen food is not that complainable. So much amenities are made for sports and games. Massive big field for football enthusiasts. Good Wi-Fi connectivity all over the campus. Enormous 4 tier library with many features inside like seminar hall, experience centre, etc.
Faculty: There is no seperate faculty for mechatronics in SASTRA. Mechanical and electronics faculty members combinly handle for mechatronics course. Rather, faculty members are good in all aspects, very friendly and guiding in all circumstances. Semester exams are bit tough and pass percentage are unpredictable.

It has an excellent infrastructure.
Placements: About 80% of students were placed in good jobs and great places. The highest package is 5 LPA, the lowest package is 1.5 LPA, and the average package is 2.5 LPA. More than 50% of students got internships. Top roles are project supervisor, guide, and project designer.
Infrastructure: Other than the classrooms, everything else is modern and excellent. The campus is equipped with Wi-Fi, an excellent library, and an excellent environment. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. With tight security, the entire campus is being supervised. Medical facilities and games are excellent.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-versed in our studies and are helpful. They are qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching is good and technical. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students into industrialists. Exams are tough. If you focus and learn, you can get good marks. The pass percentage is 60%.
Other: There are events called Daksh and Kuruksastra. These events are for technical and non-technical ideas. There are several activities for students, from acting to hacking.

Our university is world-class.
Placements: Around 85% were placed. The highest salary package is 25 LPA, the lowest salary package is 4 LPA, and the average salary package is 8 LPA. Top recruiting company is Ashok Leyland. Around 90% of students got internships, others went to higher studies. Automation technology and robotics are the top roles offered.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good with unlimited super-fast Wi-Fi. Labs with all types of equipment are available like lathe, drilling, driving stimulator, robotics lab, etc. Hostel facilities are good. Food quality is very poor in a mess and nonveg is not allowed inside the campus and hostel. Medical, sports, and games facilities are good.
Faculty: Teaching quality is average and they don't take responsibility od students. Practicals are more realistic so it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are somewhat tough. The pass percentage is above 70%. Evaluation of paper is based on the staff.
Other: I chose this course for future opportunities. Management needs to improve the number of core companies for placements. Events and fests are not so good.

Overall, SASTRA will give you a wonderful campus life and atmosphere with various opportunities.
Placements: Most of the students will get placed from SASTRA. SASTRA will train students for placements. In the batch of 2020, the highest salary package of 33 LPA was offered by Amazon for a CSE student. The average salary package offered was 3.6 LPA. TCS is the mass recruiter here, and it will recruit at least 1,000 students per year from SASTRA. SASTRA also made a Guinness record in that.
Infrastructure: The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled, and students can use it by registering once. Wi-Fi will be active for educational purposes, and some unnecessary sites will be blocked. The internet is 5G bandwidth. There will be doctors and nurses in Arokyasala. SASTRA is also well-equipped with good sports facilities except for swimming.
Faculty: Mostly, the faculty members here are good, and they all are PhD doctorates or pursuing a PhD degree. Many faculty members were graduated from top-class universities and also had working and research experience abroad. The course curriculum is overall good here.
Other: SASTRA also celebrates many festivals in both even and odd semesters. Kuruksastra, Daksh and Carpedium are some of the festivals celebrated on the SASTRA main campus. Theta is celebrated on SRC campus. SASTRA has numerous clubs which will recruit their participants by conducting certain tests.

Our college provides a great infrastructure and a good campus life.
Placements: Almost 80% of the students from our course were placed, while some students opted for higher studies. The highest salary package offered was 30 LPA and the average salary package offered was 2 LPA. L&T and TCS are top recruiters for our course. The top role offered in our course is an assistant engineer. Almost every student, i.e., 95% of the students got an internship.
Infrastructure: There are many good facilities on the campus like separate labs for every department. Almost every classroom has a Wi-Fi facility and projectors. The campus has a huge library with over one lac books. The hostel life is most enjoyable. They provide good quality food, but sometimes, it might be worst. There is a separate block for the hospital.
Faculty: Every teacher here is well qualified, and most of them are PhD scholars. The syllabus was not specified for our mechatronics as they designed the syllabus with integrating subjects of mechanical and electrical. Only in the final year, there are some core subjects.
