I suggest every student to study in this college.
Placements: From the 7th semester on, the students are eligible for campus placements. There are a lot of companies, both core and non-core, that visit the campus and offer placements to eligible students. Some companies that visited the campus are Amazon, Cognizant, Accenture, L&T, etc. The percentage of students getting placed is very good. Mainly in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, the percentage is above 92. Whereas in branches like mechanical, civil, and mining, the percentage is between 85 and 95%. My plans after getting a degree is to apply for a good placement and get the job.
Infrastructure: The hostel room at VJTI is very decent and awesome, and the infrastructure is also very good. In this college, you get single accommodation room. In room, we get 1 bed, 1 table, a chair, cupboard, and a bookcase. The light and fan are good and the food quality is also good. If you have any problems, you can easily contact the warden and resolve your issue. Registration is simple, which is usually done at the time of admission in the campus.
Faculty: After 4 years, the student will become very knowledgeable and independent. Students can stand on their own two legs after finishing their graduation at Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute. Exams are administered four times per semester. There are two quizzes, one in the middle and one at the end of the semester, and the exams are also not particularly difficult. The faculty team is one of the best. They have superior knowledge. Some professors can teach the topic so well in class that reading afterwards becomes optional. They make a PowerPoint presentation and also provide real examples associated with the topic for better understanding. Class Size: 55 The course costs 92084 per year.

    Great college of my times.
Placements: The college has a good placement record and the college provides a good return on investment. The college has a 100% placement record. The placement cell not only attracts market leaders for placement drives but also helps and guides us during the placement drive at the college. The highest package for our batch was around 26 LPA and the average package went up to 15 LPA. Google, Arista Network, TCS Research, McKinsey, Honeywell, Texas Instruments, Microsoft, etc. are the companies that participated in the college placement drive. Around 75+ companies took part in the college placement drive.
Infrastructure: The hostel facility is decent, not fancy. It's a government hostel. It is 400 miles away from the college building. The mess food is decent too. It's near the hostel accommodation. The hostel has limited seats for each branch and each year and is allocated on the basis of merit and caste quota. The college has a library with well-stocked books in it. The college also provides Wi-Fi facilities for students as well as faculty members.
Faculty: We have a very experienced faculty teaching various subjects. Obviously, there is a mix in the teaching of different faculty members. Some are good at teaching, and some are not that good. A maximum number of teachers have good industry experience and urge students to write papers. When there is a need, they will help with projects undertaken by students as well.
Other: Many fests are occurring in the winter season. Generally, there are fests of diverse cultural and technical backgrounds. SPINX, PRARAMBH, and SPACE are some cultural fests. SPICON is a fest of technical background,. The books availability is very good; it can be borrowed from the library with the use of an Identity card. The social life of college is somewhat wayward, but it comes to me as an average above par for an Engineering college.

M.E. in Artificial Intelligence - Batch of 2025
Offered by K.J. Somaiya Institute of Engineering and Information Technology
    3.2
    3Placements3Infrastructure3Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
Review of KJ Somaiya Institute of technology.
Placements: Most of the students opted for higher studies, but only 30% of the students who sat for placements got placed. The highest package offered in my course was Rs 13.80 lakhs, the lowest was Rs 2.5 lakhs, and the average was Rs 4 lakhs. The top recruiters were IDFC, Seclore, and nVent. Approximately 30% of the students got internships, and the companies were Birla Finance, Mumbai Metro, Lawyantra, and Corizo.
Infrastructure: The facilities are good compared to other colleges with the same fees. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled. The classrooms and library are spacious, and the labs are equipped with good working PCs. You also have digital access to library books. They provide access to IEEE papers online, which is a great step to enable learning from various sources. The labs also have air conditioners that are always on when the labs are scheduled. The quality of food at the mess is good but not as tasty as per the price. The medical, sports, and games facilities are good but not up to the mark.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable but not qualified in the specific fields of AI and DS, as they hold degrees in different areas. The quality of teaching is that most teachers read PowerPoint presentations, except for 2-3 teachers, and think that is teaching, which is not the correct way. The course curriculum is relevant but not at par with current industry standards. The course is sufficient for learning, but to become industry-ready, students need to put in extra effort. The semester exams are of medium-level difficulty, and the pass percentage is 91%.
Other: I chose this course because the future lies in artificial intelligence and data science, but I forgot that my batch was the second batch in our college. The faculties here are trained in electronics and hold PhDs in other subjects rather than math, statistics, or computer science, which form the base of AI and DS. I wish the teachers here focused more on practical learning rather than theoretical learning, as it would help students pursue more practical knowledge. The best thing is that the faculties are very supportive in terms of guiding students on projects and encouraging them to think outside the box. The events and clubs here are plentiful and very supportive, and the teachers also support them. There is no need for attendance if you are an active member of the clubs.

The infrastructure of the college is very beautiful with all the greenary surrounded by it.
Placements: They provided Placements in the Multi-National Companies as well as national Companies and also provided small and medium-scale industries. In the academic year 2014-15, Infosys and TCS came to campus and selected 57 members. They were offered depending on the field and selection.
Infrastructure: Although the hostel is good we can't find the food like in the home. The meal quality is good and we can eat as much as we want in our hostel. The locality is also good here and we can meet our daily needs and requirements from the nearest stores. The hostel rooms are somewhat big and enough spacious for 4 people.
Faculty: The curriculum is well planned and has all the required needs for a student to help them acquire the skills which might be quite useful in future. The faculty is well-qualified and dignified. Teaching methods are good and satisfactory for a student who is willing to learn. Term exams contain minimum weightage that can be covered easily. Class size:-67 Course fees:-INR 61000 per year .

Overall, it is the best college having no drawbacks.
Placements: Even though our field does not have a lot of placements, still the college provides 100% placements. Tata projects is top recruiting company which offers the role of deputy manager planning. The highest package offered was 9 LPA and the average package was 6 to 7 LPA. Internships are given by AFCON construction, BK construction, it gives field experience along with offering apprentice stipend.
Infrastructure: College building and the infrastructure was cool but during the rainy season, the building looks very horrible. The infrastructure needs maintenance and development. Our college has many libraries and you can issue books with your thumb prints. Classrooms are good having 60 seats in each class. I used to live in the flats where the rent varies between 7-9k. The mess food is decent which is charged separately. The canteen’s food is awesome, they have good quality food.
Faculty: We have survey and design projects in which the teachers help us the most. Some teachers are graduates from IIMs and IITs having deep knowledge about construction. Our syllabus is very huge having a lot of chapters, assignments, moral, practical, tests and term end exams. CT and mid semesters are easy but term end exams are very tough. 70 to 80% students clear this exam.
Other: Our annual fest is the best. We have a lot of events including dance, flash mob, mismatch day, traditional day, western day, twin day etc.

    It's a good college for M.Tech and B.Tech.
Placements: The report for the placement campus got 71 companies. The package for this college is 21LPA for the civil branch and other branches as well. Every student is offered based on their marks, backlogs, and their own credits. Personal development is good.
Infrastructure: Now the infrastructure is well-updated; each Wi-Fi has good speed, and every single room is cleaned regularly. The area is always kept clean for a healthy environment. As for the hostel, its food tastes good, and the labs are also updated with proper stuff.
Faculty: The qualifications of the teachers and staff are good, and there are always extra classes for all students. For those students who fail in subjects, they are taught tricks to help them pass the exams. Additionally, they teach 3D modeling stuff and projects.
