It is quite good in campus and faculty members. college have also very strict and hard rules which students have to follow, apart from that it’s grading system. Faculty is not helpful and supportive. It is located 13 km from perm Nagar. It is located at very natural places.

The course is one of its kind and provides exposure to complete energy domain, namely shipping, coal sector, oil and gas sector, power sector, etc. In short, the student gets an insight of the complete energy value chain in the span of two years. The course structure is well designed. However, I feel the college needs to hire better faculties to deliver lectures of such complex nature in order to bring the right value of the course for the students.

UPES is one of the finest college in India when it comes to Petroleum Engineering. The campus is located in a peaceful area away from town on a hill. The infrastructure is pretty good as compared to other colleges but is not so big since you can't have a big campus on a hill. The campus hostels are also very good including nice living area and food but there are limited number of seats, generally filled by Petroleum Engineering students. Around 80% of the population lives in hostels/PGs located ...

UPES is known of offering highly specialized courses, for example Petroleum related branches, Automotive and Aerospace, Geo science and Geo-informatics etc. The problem with these courses is that they are too much refined (they are basically the post graduate courses) and student is not taught with a broader perspective. Hence the basics remain weak and the job scenario gets too much narrowed because of the highly specialized course. The placements are good for Applied Petroleum upstream and Au...

Placements is good but not in all the branches, enquire before you take admission. I have done my B.Tech also from this college and now I am doing my masters too, The scenic beauty is good, the current faculty members are pathetic. The joining hand with laureate will now bring good faculty to the college.

Despite 100% placement in MBA (Logistics and supply chain) department, the college is not value for money as average salary package is not good enough. Moreover the location of college is also not good as it is very far away from city and good transportation facility is also not there. The college management gives more focus on bringing teachers from the industry who are well-versed with the practical aspects of the industry. Regular visits from industrial experts also helps the students to gain knowledge about the recent trends and advancements in the industry. Environment is really good in this college. Regarding placements I will say that its just satisfactory. Strict rules are there related to attendance issues. Getting backlog is really painful here. Teachers are also good. Location: Bdholi. With a vision and unique approach, UPES emerged as an innovative institution offering 88 industry-focused specialized programs in key areas such as Energy, Infrastructure, Transportation, Information Technology, and Legal Process.

It’s a place where every 3rd person wants to be. Great infrastructure with all the facilities. But on an average it’s a place to survive. Engineering guys exist here due to existence of university's own law and Management College. People who want to study are surely invited and those who don't are also because you will surely be made to study.

To pursue MBA in oil and gas management from UPES is worth when your background is mechanical or chemical engineering. If you are woo by college placement brochure, it is a nice painted type brochure. Tuition fee and hostel expenses is around 8 Lakhs for MBA oil and gas. If you are taking loan for this. Make sure you get placed from college. From last 2 or 3 batches, MBA oil and gas placements are not satisfactory.

Placements: They have been promising us to provide 100 % placements since the beginning but the package is very low. Top recruiting companies are not so known. Only 10 from 100 students do get good placements. And not so many global opportunities are being provided.
