Satisfied with everything but the hostel food is the worst.
Placements: The highest salary package offered is 1 crore by MotorQ. The lowest salary package offered ranges between 3 LPA to 4 LPA. The average salary package offered is nearly 8 LPA. Top roles offered are mostly software engineers. For the placements, many companies visit our college. I am in 3rd year currently so many good companies visit our college for internships.
Infrastructure: Entire infrastructure of the hostel is good. Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and everything is fine except for the mess food, it is like the worst. Even after complaining so many times, no one listens to it. But I also heard that for men's hostel, it is much better.
Faculty: Teachers are good. They are qualified enough and knowledgeable. All teachers must be a Ph.D. holder to be admitted at this institute. The curriculum is very relevant to the industry standards. Semester exams are quite tough, but if we study nicely we will easily score good grades.
Other: The college has lots of crowds, it is like nearly 30,000 students on one campus including all types of courses. Events are very good like Riviera and Gravitas. In Riviera, there are singers and the pro-shows are held so it is very good. Extra-curricular activities are also great. We have mandatory extra-curricular courses to be completed as a credit for our degree.

Placements: In my course, nearly 80% of students are placed till now in my branch. The highest salary package offered is 17 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3.3 LPA. There are multiple top companies like Samsung, Velankani, Eular Motors, and Embedded. These companies offer the best package and roles. Nearly 40% of students got internships in this college. Top roles offered are quality assurance, PCB hardware designer, and power electronic engineer.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good. Campus is equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi. Multiple labs are there like RAIL lab, IoT lab, cyber security lab, and C lab. Classrooms are air-conditioned. We have smart classrooms with projectors and audio-visual aids. Library has an extensive collection of books and research papers.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified with many holding PhDs from reputed institutions. Teaching quality is also very good. They use advanced technologies to focus on theoretical and practical knowledge. Curriculum is also well designed and regularly updated. Exam level is easy to moderate, and 40% is the minimum criteria to pass the exam.
Other: I was always interested in technology so I chose this course. Best thing is that I am doing hands-on practicals in the lab. One thing that can be better is more focus on the technical part rather than theory. So many events are organized by this college like Aarambh Advitya.

Love-hate relationship with VIT.
Placements: In our course, almost all of our students were placed. The highest package was 50 LPA, while the lowest was 3 LPA. The top recruitment company was TCS, as far as I believe. Around 40% of the students got internships from our course, and the top roles offered were managerial positions, as far as I have heard.
Infrastructure: The facilities given are pretty standard but are neglected due to poor management. Wi-Fi has restricted times, where we can't use it after 12 AM until 7 AM. The mess food isn’t good, and lots of students have fallen sick because of it. The library is pretty decent, containing books for every request. Sports facilities are also great.
Faculty: Teachers are indeed helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is decent. The course curriculum is surprisingly relevant and makes the students industry-ready. The difficulty of the semester exams varies from student to student, but for me, it has been easy so far. The pass percentage is 50% overall, and 40/100 marks are required in the final exam.
Other: Mechanical engineering is the course I chose because I like to be practical with things. I love roots and want to create them more advanced than ever. The crowd is really bad; there are lots of students here. I promise you that if the student intake is less, they will be better than a lot of NITs.

VIT: The Good, The Bad, The Memorable.
Placements: The placements in our college are really good, even though there are a little number of recruitment limits from every company. Placements are easier and better here, as this year there were about 300 companies which came to recruit us. If there were no placements, my plan was to do a Master’s abroad, probably in Singapore or Switzerland. The highest package last year was for 1.1 crore, and the average package was around 9.9 LPA. You need a minimum 6 CGPA to get placed, but I would recommend at least an 8 CGPA to be on the safe side for better companies.
Infrastructure: The campus life here is amazing, and the infrastructure is really good. Yes, there are a few old buildings, and they are getting renovated. The rooms provided are okay. It depends on the hostel, as newer built blocks have better rooms. If you choose 4 B.Ed and get the newer block (which is only for freshers), it’s nice and clean, but for the older blocks, even for 4 B.Ed, you get bunk beds and it feels so outdated.
Faculty: The curriculum completely depends on your choice and liking, as there is a system called FFCS in which you can select your own faculty and timetable. But the catch is, by the end of 4 years, you must complete at least a credit amount of 162, depending on which course you took. So, an average of 22 credits per semester, and depending on the subject, it will be approximately 2-3 credits, so you have to make a timetable worth 22 credits.
Other: There are numerous clubs to join, and a lot of festivities you can join and participate in, but most of them are really underwhelming to me. Personal opinion, I guess. The extracurricular activities are really good. I was disappointed with the football ground, as a football fanatic. I at least expected a turf ground, but it was just plain grass. The nightlife in VIT is really chill. It has become better over the years, though the curfew timings did not change at all. It’s pretty early, but it doesn’t make a lot of difference.

All You Need to Know About VIT
Placements: There are 75 students in each class, around 3000-4000 students in each batch, where 2000-3000 get placed every year. If you have skills, you can get a placement. The competition is tough, with low chances of getting an internship. Most of the top recruiting companies come here every year, including MANG and other top companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, and the campus is well-maintained. The library is up to date, and you can find most of the useful books, daily magazines, comics, mangas, etc. Medical facilities are also available in each hostel. The mess food is average, but you can find all types of mess options like veg, non-veg, Jain, and food items from all over India. The Wi-Fi speed is very bad.
Faculty: The curriculum is well-centralized on my selected specialization. The end-semester exams are not that difficult; you can easily pass them by studying two weeks before the exams. But getting an S grade is really tough. They also teach practically to make students ready for real-life problems, and there are lab classes and exams too.
Other: The campus is very crowded. You need to take permission from your proctor before going out of college. I chose this college and course because I didn’t have many options, and this was the best I had. They have weekly events you can easily enjoy, and there are many clubs so you can enjoy and get along with other students.

Average college.
Placements: The placements are okay, but super dream offers are not that many. Most people get placed in service-based companies through mass hiring. If you prepare well, you will get around 10-12 LPA CTC; higher offers are also received, with the highest around 1.2cr and 50 LPA. Internship opportunities are good; many companies like PayPal, Wells Fargo, Visa, Intuit, Motorq, etc., come for placements.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is good and available in hostels, the mess, and libraries, but not available in classes. Mess food is normal, not too bad and not too good, but the sports facilities are all paid, which means you have to spend even more on top of the fees you already pay.
Faculty: Teachers are average; many are not enthusiastic about teaching, and most teachers just read from PPTs. The course curriculum is updated and relevant to industry standards. Exams are average; very few people fail, around 5%. Memory is important to do well in these exams; they are not very innovation-based.
Other: I chose biotech because I wanted to pursue a Master's in a similar stream. Events are plentiful, with lots of clubs that have a good environment.

Q:   How is the overall infrastructure of VIT Vellore?

A:
{Source: BCA students & alumni]

The VIT Vellore campus has a vibrant atmosphere with various activities and events throughout the year. Girl students are allowed to move around the campus within restricted timings, and there are multiple sports grounds and coaching facilities available. The college has a busy calendar with over three to five weekly events, and the mess food is of acceptable quality with a variety of options. However, incomplete attendance may result in penalties, and there are consequences for rule violations. The college culture is diverse, with most students speaking English, and there are designated student representatives and teachers for academic support. The academic schedule is relatively hectic, and there are monthly exams and tests. Teaching methodologies involve practical discussions around case studies, and there are well-stocked libraries for research and reading resources. Security measures include guards and CCTV cameras, and outsiders cannot enter the campus without permission.

Based on the reviews provided, the overall infrastructure of VIT Vellore's BCA programme appears to be mixed. Some reviewers have had positive experiences with the infrastructure, praising the air-conditioned classrooms and high-spec computers, while others have had negative experiences, citing poor Wi-Fi connectivity and limited availability of North Indian food options in the mess.

One reviewer noted that the classrooms are not all air-conditioned and another mentioned that the food in the mess is not always up to par. Additionally, some reviewers have expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of a hospital within the campus.

On the other hand, Review 4 describes the college's infrastructure as "excellent" and states that the campus is equipped with modern facilities such as Wi-Fi, high-end computers and sports facilities. This review suggests that the college may have made efforts to improve its infrastructure since the previous reviews were written.

In summary, the overall infrastructure of VIT Vellore's BCA programme seems to be a mixed bag, with both positive and negative experiences reported by different reviewers. However, it appears that the college has made efforts to improve its infrastructure in recent times.
