Students who fail in the exam or score less marks can opt for revaluation of the answer book. They can select a maximum of two answer books for revaluation. This is done only for the theory paper. Students cannot opt for revaluation for practical papers, internal assignments, project reports, dissertations, viva-voce, due papers, boycotted papers, special examinations, and improvement papers, etc. For re-evaluation, candidates need to apply within 15 days after the declaration of the result. The amount that candidates need to pay for revaluation is INR 300.

VMOU Result 2024: Improvement of Marks
Students who complete the program and passed in all the papers can appear for the improvement exam. The improvement can be written only once. Improvement exam is allowed in 50 per cent of total papers (Course) of the term-end examination only. Improvement exam is allowed in internal assignment/practicals/lab courses/dissertation/project report/workshops. The improvement exam fee is INR 450 per paper for UG and INR 750 per paper for the PG program. Only one opportunity is given to improve the marks. Change in result due to improvement provision is not considered for the merit list. Students who wish to appear for the improvement exam need to fill the application form. They need to attach a copy of marksheet with the application form. - For admission to UG programmes, selection is done on the basis of merit
- Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent in any discipline from any recognised board
- For Bachelor of Library and Information Science and B Ed, candidates must have passed graduation with 50 per cent marks
- For admission to all PG courses except MBA, selection is done on the basis of merit in the qualifying entrance exam
- No entrance test is conducted for admission to the PG courses

VMOU prescribes the marking scheme for end term examination. In order to pass the course, students have to secure the minimum required marks. Students have to secure at least 36 per cent marks in the exam except for BCP/BAP/BSCP courses.
