Vardhman Mahaveer Open University announced VMOU TEE result 2024 for Dec 2023 session. Students can check the result on this page. To check the result, candidates need to enter a scholar number. VMOU Kota result contain details such as students' details and term-end marks. Students securing the minimum or more than the passing marks are considered as pass. The qualifying students are promoted as per the university rules. 

Students who pass all the papers in the term end exam can appear in the improvement exam. Students are given only one opportunity to improve their marks. Students can apply for revaluation for theory papers in UG/PG programmes only.

A:

Re-totalling of answer books will be permitted in all theory papers in which candidates have actually appeared in term end examination. Re-totalling of answer books is not permitted for viva-voce, internal assignments, practical papers, special examination, etc. Candidates need to apply as per the prescribed format of application by paying the requisite fees. The time period for applying for re-totalling of answer books is 30 days from the date of declaration of result.

Q:   What is the process of improvement of marks at VMOU?

A:

The improvement of marks is applicable only for UG programmes during the completion or immediately after the declaration of the result of the completion of programme. Only one opportunity will be given to candidates to improve their marks. This is allowed only in theory papers.

Q:   What is the process of re-evaluation of answer sheet in VMOU TEE exam?

A:

Students who fail in the exam or score less marks can opt for revaluation of the answer book. They can select a maximum of two answer books for revaluation. This is done only for the theory paper. Students cannot opt for revaluation for practical papers, internal assignments, project reports, dissertations, viva-voce, due papers, boycotted papers, special examinations, and improvement papers, etc. For re-evaluation, candidates need to apply within 15 days after the declaration of the result. The amount that candidates need to pay for revaluation is INR 300.

Q:   What are the passing criteria for students at VMOU semester exams?

A:

 Students in the VMOU semester exams need to secure at 36 per cent. This is exempted for BCP/BAP/BSCP courses. VMOU Kota admission takes place in two sessions-January and July. Students studying in VMOU have to take two semester exams. VMOU Term End Examination (TEE) is conducted in June and December. For admission to UG programmes candidates must pass Class 12 from a recognised board of education. For admission to PG programmes, candidates must complete graduation from a recognised university. Admission to B Ed, MPhil, PhD, MBA, and MCA programmes are done on the basis of entrance test.

Those who apply for revaluation need not wait for their revaluation results. Such candidates are eligible to appear for the next examination as per their eligibility. VMOU TEE exam is conducted for June and December sessions. The result of both the sessions are announced online. To download the result, candidates need to enter the required credentials.

VMOU Result 2024: Improvement of Marks

Students who complete the program and passed in all the papers can appear for the improvement exam. The improvement can be written only once. Improvement exam is allowed in 50 per cent of total papers (Course) of the term-end examination only. Improvement exam is allowed in internal assignment/practicals/lab courses/dissertation/project report/workshops. The improvement exam fee is INR 450 per paper for UG and INR 750 per paper for the PG program. Only one opportunity is given to improve the marks. Change in result due to improvement provision is not considered for the merit list. Students who wish to appear for the improvement exam need to fill the application form. They need to attach a copy of marksheet with the application form. A duly filled and completed application form should be sent to ‘Controller of Examinations, Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University, Rawatbhata Road, Kota.

Q:   What is VMOU Eligibility?

A:

VMOU TEE eligibility is given below:

  • For admission to UG programmes, selection is done on the basis of merit
  • Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent in any discipline from any recognised board
  • For Bachelor of Library and Information Science and B Ed, candidates must have passed graduation with 50 per cent marks
  • For admission to all PG courses except MBA, selection is done on the basis of merit in the qualifying entrance exam
  • No entrance test is conducted for admission to the PG courses
  • Candidates must have passed graduation from a recognised university

Re-evaluation of Answer Book

Students who fail in the exam or score less marks can opt for revaluation of the answer book. Students can select a maximum of two answer books for revaluation. The revaluation is done only for the theory paper. Students cannot opt for revaluation for practical papers, internal assignments, project reports, dissertations, viva-voce, due papers, boycotted papers, special examinations, and improvement papers, etc. Students can apply for revaluation of answer books within 15 days after the declaration of the result. Revaluation of answer books is permitted in not more than 25 per cent of the theory papers in which candidates actually appeared in the exam. Students need to pay Rs 300 per paper for the revaluation.

VMOU Result 2023: Semester Marking Scheme

VMOU prescribes the marking scheme for end term examination. In order to pass the course, students have to secure the minimum required marks. Students have to secure at least 36 per cent marks in the exam except for BCP/BAP/BSCP courses.
